Their competence and functionality within the game are largely a secondary consideration. So when you do see a 'best of' list for female characters it's typically about which one is sexiest. So today I thought I would see if I could put together a list of female characters that became popular because they're cool, capable characters and not because they have huge knockers.

I definitely agree with Boss. She wasn't like other smart-mouthed, hyper-sexualized and overconfident female characters that we see in other games and media. Instead she was a average looking (maybe even unattractive) woman who was skilled, mature and wise. I liked her character the most in MGS3
