"Reason: PS3 memory limitations, etc. It’s possible to set it higher as they’re trying to fit every model into 10GB (the limit is 20GB), but with future considerations in mind, they want to set the bar relatively low for the sake of smooth performance."

Yeah uh memory =512mb
Storage=20gb

Storage doesn't have an impact on framebuffer sizes.

Hopefully Sony introduces the PS4 with much less limitations than the PS3. They need to future proof the console while maintaining a fair price for consumers. They should add more memory and have an easier hardware to develop for. The PS3 is a beast, but the memory it has resulted in a bottle-neck that makes it hard to prove the power inside. First party devs will always get more of the system, but by developing a friendly console to developers, they might get better games for next generation.

And hopefully Square Enix will start supporting Playstation fans again, unlike this generation.

Actually the ps3 only has 256 megabytes that can be used for games but other 256 is used for the operating system.

I still want to see the game in action to see how it performs on PS3, (frame-rate wise). If it's like how FFXI ran on Xbox 360, then I won't have an issue with it, but if the game is going to be freezing and having 10 FPS 24/7, then no. I'm looking forward to the PS3 beta to be able to find this out for myself. That alone will be the determining factor of me building PC for this game.

I'm sure though that it will run fine, given all this time they've had to tune the game for PS3.

I mean...
This game was called sh177y shi7 a long time ago.

FF14 is over, pretty much.

And then if they try and charge 15 dollars a month...it's REALLY over.

If you must insist on punishing yourself, then by all means, go ahead and buy it....but I don't see why you would.
Good luck though.

I played a lot of FFXI back in the day, and I still remember when they first announced FFXIV, (I was sitting in Whitegate selling stuff when I found out about FFXIV), ever since then I wanted to play the next FF MMO. I understand they had a bad start, I'm sure any company that literally rushes a game out would of shared the same result FFXIV did. But what I've been seeing over the past year or two from them is determination to reboot the game completely, and tbh, I really do love what I'm seeing from their team.

About the subscription fee, $10 (legacy member discount) really isn't much to pay a month for something you would enjoy playing.

I'm in. FFXII gambits just sold me and I wasn't going to buy this game. Lol, I seriously hate mmo's, gambits are a huge deal to me and it better work exactly like XII.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

More intelligent than guerilla games

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

What a word vomit, rambling, turd of an article that simply states the obvious. Classic exputer.
