1 thing it must do. Completely redo the thinking that old MMO formulas still work and actually listen to what fans are saying they want for this game. Basically that means allow first person view (even as a toggle), remove hotbar combat and make it more to the style the series is based upon, and generally AVOID everything WoW does.

Don't do what the Warcraft franchise did. When it became an MMO, the Warcraft RTS series completely ended. It's been since 2003, and still nothing but speculation from the fans on Warcraft 4. Blizzard seems to be doing too well with WOW to even consider returning to its roots.
