Overview
There is one game in the top 20 to be in its final week before launch. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (X360) adds 9,430 pre-orders in its final week for a grand total of 74,780. As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
The top three games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top nine has 100,000 or more pre-orders, up from eight last week. One game added 20,000 or more, the same as last week and three add 10,000 or more, down from five last week.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.
Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?
Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
More people need to play the witcher 2. Seriously, if u have played skyrim, mass effect, final fantasy, and have diablo 3 pre ordered, get the witcher 2. It will not disappoint. It is an amazing game. At least keep in mind for the summer. It is a mustplay. Check out some of the reviews.
Six of the top ten are Xbox 360 and Halo 4 is already top three. I can only see that rising due to the fact that there is actually a release date for the game now.
I picked up Witcher 2 and its pretty good, hopefully it does well.
