Hideo Kojima remembers Metal Gear Solid 4

It was no longer surprising when MGS4 came and blew us away with how pretty it looked, given that all the previous games had done likewise, but apparently even that didn’t satisfy its perfectionist creator. “It sounds strange saying this now, but I feel we didn’t achieve all that I wanted to do with 4,” Kojima says.

How would any1 even forget the best game ever made?

BlmThug4649d ago

Thats is your opinion and I respect it but I disagree with you. Its far from being the best game ever made. Its predecessors were a lot better especially MGS3.

This game was the whole reason I got a PS3 back then! Thanks to the MGS franchise, Goldeneye and Pokemon on the Gameboy color I became a hardcore gamer!

I think I was blown away first and foremost by how awful the writing was, long before the graphics had a chance to impress me.

Beat the game in two long marathon sessions back in '08. Just had to keep going, heh. Good times.

I'm probably going to get blasted for saying this but I hated MGS4 & this comes from an MGS fan since the first one. Those overly long cutscenes, weak story & that awful mission where you had to tail that guy for what seemed like hours.

I will give credit to that scene on the river with ocelot where he forces his enemies to kill themselves, that was amazing.

christheredhead4649d ago

That was an awesome scene, but going back to shadow moses topped any and everything. That part was just unbelievable.

They should release it on NSO's GBA lineup. The Switch has a light sensor afterall! (Switch Lite owners would be out of luck though)

Chocoburger64d ago (Edited 64d ago )

I don't think games would be able to 'hook into' the light sensor for automatic screen brightness.
The best way to play the game is with the fan patch that lets you adjust the amount of light the game is receiving at will. Make sure not to play at max sunlight for too long, or the game will punish you, keep the sunlight meter lowered in order to keep playing longer.
