Sony has released a new promotional video to stir up interest in Blu-ray. The video, which features what Sony is calling a traveling army battle, was filmed with no ambient light. The entire sequence is bathed in blue lasers, giving the sequence very distinct imagery. The video is meant to showcase the new level of viewing experience that Blu-ray has to offer...
On Amazon, you can't get an RTX 4090 for less than this one from Gigabyte, which now offers great value after an eye-catching April deal.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
Quoting old school gamer here from his report.
"In no way, shape, or form is this gaming news, and remove PS3 from the type, not even mentioned once. Stop advertising blu-ray on this site please, this is gaming news not movie news."
To all the people reporting this, you must not have watched the ad because in the ad it says, and I quote,
"Movies. music. Games"
!!!See Games!!!!
It even spells it out for you!
Watch the ad before you report.
It has everything to do with GAMES.
the best thing the highdef formats could do for advertising is to start with standard definition feeds from my local cable company, point out a few compression artifacts and other issues then switch to Blu-ray. I showed my wife the difference between ABC on cable and OTA-HD broadcast of a Sun's game and she was like "WTF I feel like they are stealing money from us and putting crap on our screen as punishment"
+1 for enlightenment.
great video!
I like the ideas.
more great stuff from Sony. Nicccce. Keep em comin'!
with all the talk of porn deciding the format wars some months before(I am glad it didn't), this headline looked like "New Blu ray porn video"
I really just want the war to end already, so Blu-ray disc can start costing the price of a reg dvd $20 dollars u.s. and we can just go back to consuming them in mass quantities.
And get back to partying like it's 1999, all over again.
