If there's one thing we need more of in our lives, it's 999. Not only is the original game superb, but its follow up Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward proved to be one of the best visual novels/portable games of this generation. Aksys is keeping the 999 express chugging along as they've today announced the release date of 999: The Novel
If you wanted to get into 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors upon its initial release but didn't have the time or energy, 999: The Novel is a formidable alternative that you'll want to look into. It's fast-paced, colorful, and chock-full of inventive writing - and with that being such a scarcity in games these days, you'll want to eat that up whenever you can find it.

"The best new iPad games this week include some big releases and a few good ports, as well."
Grab It Magazine is reporting that Chunsoft's classic interactive story adventure 999 has just appeared on the App Store.
Pretty happy about this as I missed the DS version.
Direct iTunes link if anyone wants it = http://georiot.co/999TheNov... (apparently it is slowly coming online around the world)
This game (and its sequel) are pretty mind-blowing. If you like visual novels at all and really mind-bending, thought-provoking storylines, don't pass this up. I wonder how the novel version handles the whole "multiple endings" thing, though...
I never played the original game, so I can't wait to experience it in glorious HD on my iPad Air.
Good. Here's hoping revenue from this game goes to making the third game.
Bring it to Vita :'(
its amazing game
So what does the novel mean? You get the novel portions withou the escape portions?
