Your Ending Sucks

"It’s hard to end a story. There are times where it’s clear somebody on the writing staff really busted their ass to pull off a satisfying ending that everyone will remember. But then again, many things have endings created by an executive with some blood dripping from their nose and white powder on their suit bursting into the writer’s room and demanding a cliffhanger so they could make a sequel. Personally, there’s nothing I love more than a killer third act. Endings are powerful stuff! And here are some of them!" - Mike C, Velocity Gamer

Well the title (and description) says it is about endings to games. SO of course there will be spoilers

Anyone who didn't see this I will give a list of the games spoiled
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Assassin’s Creed III
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 3
Red Dead Redemption
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors

Others are mentioned as but only the title of the game and nothing else

OT: I think AC:B was the best in the franchise. It capitalised on such a good game (AC:2) but added more (the brotherhood mechanic was excellent). AC3 rushed their endings. Connor ending just get dragging on and then the end was an anti climax. Desmond ending was better but had the feel of a bargin bin movie with its main reveal being spoiled in previous games

I didn't like RDR ending. The idea is there but the execution was poor. I can see they wanted to do parallels between the beginning and end of the game and show a family man image but I don't want to play that for another hour or two. That thing dragged on. It ruined what could have been an excellent ending (because it was all there just decided to kill it pacing wise). Also the "true ending" is nothing more than a simple mission that ends very quickly. I wouldn't use that to say RDR's ending was good.

Ah it is good you mentioned inFamous 2 ending without ruining it. That is how you end the game. The good ending was my favourite because it was so powerful

Not going to read the article as its not clear if it contains spoilers or not. But I can count on one had games that I have finished in the last 10 years that had good endings. Red Dead Redemption had a great ending imo.

"Your Ending Sucks" and "Endings are powerful stuff! And here are some of them!" pretty much says it is going to spoil some endings

I never played Red Dead... I never seem to get around to it.

I didn't think I was going to like it all that much at first, I was never a huge fan of cowboy and westerns type entertainment, but I got so much into it that after I finished it I even borrowed a load of cowboy movies from my friend :)

Deus Ex: HR does not deserve to be in the bad list. Brotherhood as a good ending?, all the AC stories had shit ending. AC2 & Brotherhood had the most interesting stories. Ezio kicked ass.

Deus Ex: HR is one of my fav games, the ending wasn't great but it wasn't bad either.

Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell Of Ar Ciel Retro Review – Love Conquers All

Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.

Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.

That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.

Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.

I still have the limited edition of Qoga unopened. Unfortunately it never went up in value like I had hoped all these years.
