What's with the Dyson?

Love the scratched metal textures and reflections.

PLASTICA-MAN3639d ago

The Dyson alone is around 60k polys.

Honestly I've never played a deus ex game. After I joined this site I see a lot of people talking about it and now I feel left out lol

imtheman20133639d ago

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is my personal game of the year in 2011. The Director's Cut is even better, and it goes on sale on steam somewhat often. Great game with a lot of meaningful decisions; both involving the gameplay and the narrative. You should try it out if you ever get the chance!

tuglu_pati3639d ago

game is so good... i bought it without any expectations and to my surprise it end up been one of the best experiences I had in a long time.

Vegamyster3639d ago

Just picked up DE: HR Directors cut on the Humble Bundle for $5 a few days ago and still playing through it, if you played a game like Dishonored and enjoyed it you'll probably enjoy this. Some tiny nitpicks are the Ai can either be quite dumb or they'll detect and all start coming at you without you knowing how or why they saw you but other then that i've been enjoying it quite a bit.

elhebbo163639d ago

Everyone will tell you to play DE:HR but really theres no other masterpiece like Deus Ex GOTY. it was one of the most revolutionizing game of its time and besides that it has good atmosphere, good story, good RPG/shooting mechanics, and it could run on almost any computer by todays standard. when it goes on sale on steam it goes as low as $1.50. imo that is a steal.

Muzikguy3638d ago

I rented it and was completely surprised! To be fair though, I knew NOTHING about the game. I know that's what helped because I had no opinion and low expectations to begin with. It's great though, I need to finish it sometime soon (sitting on the HDD now)

I can't wait to start seeing the PS4/X1/PC games looking like this.

OT sort of:

Does the idea of Dark Souls 3 looking like this http://youtu.be/qmqvDOwS4Ic or this http://youtu.be/y_7awHM-pr0... not the exact art style, but just the models, textures, lighting etc. make anyone else crazy?!?

I'd love an actual city area in DS3 and a proper narrative, maybe some crazy wall divide like in KZ, Almost Human, Dredd etc. where one side of the world is brighter and the other filled with demons and such, and you can end up ruling one side or the other.

TL;DR give me a next gen Dark Souls!

Wow! That is badass. WB needs to make this happen now.

WoodsRatesGames1088d ago

Right? Thanks for checking it out!

Fans??? This is done by one person

WoodsRatesGames1086d ago

Someone else was commissioned to do the music and another person modelled the batmobile. Links to all involved are included in the article.

Gaming4Life19811087d ago

They should have been made a batman game for the best batman movie. This looks amazing and now I must watch the movie.

Am I crazy or is there an Unreal Engine 5 now? Why promote old tech?

waverider1107d ago

I really dont understand either? isnt the Unreal Engine 5 already available for studios? arent they already working with it?

masterfox1107d ago

UE5 Is for PS5 only, deal with it! :D

***runs away from this thread with pride!**

Tacoboto1107d ago

UE5 is not released yet and developers for years will still make UE4 games because that's where their tools and customizations are.

Mortal Kombat still uses UE3. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also still UE3.

Magog1107d ago

That more of an embarrassing indictment of those devs than a reason to promote old software.

Tacoboto1107d ago

Embarrassing indictment? You know nothing of software development then.

Spenok1107d ago (Edited 1107d ago )

Because a ridiculous amount of the industry still uses 4, and because no, 5 is not out yet. They said it would launch later this year.

AuraAbjure1107d ago

Companies still use Unreal Engine 3.

Really impressive tech but I don’t even notice all of these benefits in real life, never mind being chased by zombies in a video game. Rather devote resources to resolution and frame rate.

Magog1107d ago

If you suddenly stopped casting reflections in a mirror I think you would notice.

Amplitude1107d ago (Edited 1107d ago )

Edit: i misread this.

Yes after seeing the Unreal 5 ps5 reveal, I thought that's where we were heading. But saying that I have read various articles that suggest its easy for developers to still work on Unreal 4 and carry everything over to Unreal 5 when needed, we shall see.
