Top 5 Dreamcast Games

"The Dreamcast was the successor to the Sega Saturn and Sega’s fifth and final gaming console. There were some truly fantastic games found on this console and it came with one of the best controllers to this day in my opinion. These factors make it highly collectible. The console and its games go for big bucks presently. Today we want to take a look at our Top 5 Dreamcast Games." -BootHammer

Skies of Arcadia and Grandia II for me

love my RPGs

darthv723935d ago

Damn myself to hell for never playing Skies of Arcadia. I been on a serious retro DC kick and picked up over 80 titles in the last 6mos.

skies is still one i am on the hunt for (at a good price).

Me personally, i love the arcade stylings of Daytona, crazy taxi and propeller arena (shhh...that one isnt 'officially' out)

If you can't get it for Dreamcast, it's for GameCube as well

I bought it for Gamecube, and played it on my Wii

edit: there's some additions/changes to the GC version, Skies of Arcadia Legends

edit 2: I got mine like 3 years ago I think and paid $30-37 somewhere I dont remember. On eBay right now the cheapest is like $37-42 (bids and buy it now)

It seems no matter if its the cube or the original DC version, it still commands a hefty price.

Sonic Adventure... good times.

I remember that amazing bridge, Tikal, and the Rock Snake boss which was awesome.

And then my CD got scratched, so I had to press down on the cover of my Dreamcast during cut scenes, otherwise it'd get stuck.

1. Skies of Arcadia (Just like Panzer Dragoon Saga on Saturn, this game was a hidden masterpiece that few had played and one of the the best RPGs of that era)

2. Soul Calibur (One of the few games that have ever been so perfect in terms of graphics, speed, gameplay. Probably the best 3D fighting game of all time.)

3. Sonic Adventure (The last great Sonic game IMO. This is the definite Sonic game from Sega as to what Mario 64 is to Nintendo)

4. Shenmue (The birth to modern QTE control scheme and was the first big budget, blockbuster production game of its time, sad that there might not be a sequel)

5. Virtua Tennis (best Tennis game and one of the most addicting and fun games of all time, it is in a sense the sequel to pong)

Phantasy star online

That game changed my gaming life

And a game called sea man, which was totally nuts.

Yea Seaman, I remember that game that came with the microphone. The Japanese face was so creepy though. The Sega of old would have these niche games like Seaman, Space Channel, and Jet Set Radio that are so fun an unique back in the days. Sadly, these games don't really exist anymore.

Still to this day think the dream cast was the best console ever.

Like the say the games where just different.

Pso was by far the best game tho, I had years of fun only down side was the phone bill hahaha
