Kotaku - "What would Batman do?" That's a driving principle behind the upcoming game Batman: Arkham Origins. And, sure, that's what the people making any game about a famous character are going to say. Still, how do they do that?
Part of it is having you control a guy that looks like Batman. Part of it is having you not kill people. There's more to it than that.
"I'm going to assume you have some passing interest in Batman if you're playing a Batman game," the game's creative director Eric Holmes told me recently while I played a demo of Origins at a PlayStation event in New York City. "You kind of want to play him as he's classically depicted."
DC: Dark Legion has been announced for 2024 by FunPlus and Warner Bros.Interactive. It looks to deliver an immersive multiplayer experience.
Developers have been making Batman games for years and leaving the rest of the Justice League behind, so it's time to give Batman a break.
A open world Flash game with Barry Allen , Wally West , Wallace West and Bart Allen would be great.
Another open world game that would be great is Green Arrow and Black Canary.
They are though, they have suicide squad, arkham knights and Wonder Woman coming out. Seems like they are taking a nice break from batman
Concept artist Goran Bukvic posted concept art for a cancelled game that was quite obviously going to be the sequel to Batman Arkham Knight. This one apparently starring the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al’ Ghul, Damian Wayne.
Don't do that.. don't give me hope.
After the post-campaign events of Batman: Arkham Knight, I would be f'n thrilled to see what would go down in the sequel. An aged Batman taking on God knows what...
I like the aged Batman but I hate he fact we'd be playing as Damien
I'd have preferred they left the Arkham series open for Batman to return without the whole identity reveal and just focus on other projects until enough time had passed to come back to it.
Now we are getting two online focused, 4 player multiplayer games....
I’d prefer Batman not be so old looking maybe 5 years after Arkham or something. But play as Bruce and Kevin Conroy. Conroy deserves one last Batman game. Maybe after these cash grab multiplayer games are done. Or just give me Arkham Knight with current Gen technology.
IM BATMAN.
How about a Superman game. We got a kick a#$ Man of Steel movie we now need a kick @ss Superman game.
I don't know what Rocksteady is working on now, or if they are only able to work on DC characters because WB now owns them, but I and many others thank them for making not only an awesome game based on a licensed character, but also an overall awesome game despite the license it's based on. Gameplay was perfect, story was great, graphics were done really well, and use of characters was perfect.
Now I just hope a developement team can come, have a team as dedicated as to a license as Rocksteady is, and make a great X-Men game. Origins was good, and people say Deadpool was decent, but I want a AAA game. Can play as various X-Men characters, have cameos of other characters, awesome gameplay, various locals, etc. I would truly like to at least see a critically acclaimed X-Men game someday, a game that gets scores as good as the Arkham game.
If I stay there can be no party. I must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. Where ever a party needs to be saved, I'm there. Where ever there are masks or if there's tom foolery in joy, I'm there. But sometimes I'm not because I'm out there in the night staying vigilant, watching, lurking, running, jumping, hurdling, sleeping. No I can't sleep. You sleep, I'm awake. I don't sleep. I don't blink. Am I a bird? No, I'm a bat. I am Batman. Or am I? Yes, I am Batman.
Then i need to feel like a detective , and no just usig some pseudo infrared vision doesnt work for it . The arkham games are otherwise excellent
