Xbox One Exclusives: Still a Glimmer of Hope

As noted in a earlier article, Obstructed Views brings to you a list of exclusives for the Xbox One that show that this system still has a glimmer of hope after a very shaky start. We all know what happened at E3, and we don’t need to rehash the details, but needless to say, it did much to hurt the image of the Microsoft Console. This is here to show people that there are still quite a few reasons this system is worth the purchase.

Wow minecraft. That requires alot of powwa ROFL....

Belking3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago )

Yea, but it sure sold a lot on xbl.It just shows how importannt the xbox platform is to devs. XBl+ xb1 will still offer huge opportunities to devs.

Enemy3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago )

Minecraft isn't even exclusive and it would sell on any platform it's released on. Why bring it into this? Hell, it's even on iOS.

The problem with Microsoft is that they think they're going to get away with misleading the public into believing that their timed exclusives are actually exclusive. They started this gen doing the same thing and eventually couldn't get anymore deals.

Sony has the best 1st parties out there developing games for PS4.

- Media Molecule's new IP is probably going to win GOTY
- Quantic Dream's TWO new IPs will be on PS4
- Guerrilla's new IP (will be revealed shortly after the launch of Killzone: Shadow Fall) will be on PS4
- The Order: 1886 (Ready At Dawn x Sony Santa Monica) will be on PS4
- Santa Monica's new IP will be on PS4

In addition to all these new IPs, we'll surely have Uncharted coming back, as well as The Last of Us, InFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo, God of War, and other surprises. And you can bet Guerrilla's new IP is going to shock. They've been working on it for years now.

Do you see where I'm going with this? These are all owned by Sony. Not like TitanFall, owned by EA, which will be released on PS4 months after the Xbox One version. And TitanFall looks like crap on a stick. It's no wonder 60fps was easily achieved. It's like being proud that COD: Ghosts will run at 60fps looking the way it does. They look the same.

dedicatedtogamers3942d ago

Believe it or not...it does. Basic settings, sure, it doesn't need much power, but if you tweak the advanced settings (especially if you mod it) you can get some insane draw distances.

ThanatosDMC3942d ago

Optifine 1.6.2 is out now. Makes everything so much better than Vanilla. Notch really needs to fix his own game.

Cmk01213942d ago

not that it takes a lot of power but it has HUGE following! 7 million copies sold on XBL, not counting the disc based version that broke retail records. i dont play it but folks love it

NeXXXuS3942d ago

Funny because 2 of those games on the front page are multiplat. And I see Dead Rising 3 becoming a timed exclusive just because Dead rising was also on the PS3.

Its funny how people said MS rehashes their exclusives at E-3 for the console's launch, but it was sony who did exactly that with infamous, Killzone. It seems that MS cme with more new ips for their console's launch.

Wizziokid3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago )

Sony 20 exclusives year 1, 12 new Ip's.
Xbox 15 exclusives year 1, 8 new IP's.

We've only seen the beginning of Sony's titles and even if they aren't available at launch the amount of games launching, F2P included, is enough to keep myself occupied until another game launches.

Wait for TGS and Gamescom.

Belking3942d ago

I don't know where you got that 20 from...lol There aren't 20 exclusives launching this year for ps4 but they do have some rehashes. MS doesn't have a halo or gears that so many people were sure gonna be there for the launch. Also xb1 has f2p as well so don't act like this is exclusive to sony. Plus, 2014 for xb1 is gonna be huge. Titan Fall, Destiny, The division, possibly halo 5 and even more. xb1 has the games as well. So no more of that xbox doesn't have exclusives anymore. Time to move on to something else now.

Wizziokid3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago )

@Belking

I got it from Sony's when they announced it at E3

They have 30 exclusives in the works, 20 of which launch the first year of the console and 12 are new IP's please do some research before you post a response in the future

"So no more of that xbox doesn't have exclusives anymore."

I didn't say MS had no games, read my initial comment I said they have 15 exclusives year one.

"Titan Fall, Destiny, The division, possibly halo 5"

We are talking about exclusives here and Halo 5 is the only true exclusive there, TitanFall is currently exclusive yes but by what Respawn have said in interviews that wont be forever.

pyramidshead3942d ago

Conveniently not mentioning the new Halo game announced. :P

You were saying?

And I guess Forza's not gonna be there at XBOne's launch?

Oh, but you'll probably say "But Forza's just one game," which is somehow WAY less than TWO games.

It seems that you're just trolling.

MikeMyers3942d ago

Why do you always seem to be in Xbox related articles defending Sony? Both Sony and Microsoft are going to have new ip's and both are also going to keep existing ip's going.

We all know you have little to no interest in the Xbox One yet we constantly see you in articles about it. The fact is Belking is right in the sense you guys kept going on and on about the lack of new ip's for the Xbox and core titles. Tell us, how much have you talked about those new ip's and core games for the Xbox One?

Hicken3942d ago

Good job pretending Belking doesn't do the same thing, but with far less intelligence behind his posts. And excellent job ignoring how I'm right. And superb job acting like someone doesn't always attack Sony in Microsoft articles.

Why didn't you say anything to Belking about his unnecessary and untruthful comment? Why do you never respond to guys trolling Sony, but always have time to annoy someone who isn't?

If you're not gonna treat both sides the same, you can't act objective. And, in either case, since You're apparently unable to understand even the most obvious things I say, I'd appreciate it if you stopped leaving ignorant responses on my comments.

Thanks in advance.

MikeMyers3942d ago

Hicken,
"Good job pretending Belking doesn't do the same thing, but with far less intelligence behind his posts."

So not only are you deflecting but continuing to attack him by somehow knowing how intelligent he is on a web forum.

"And excellent job ignoring how I'm right. And superb job acting like someone doesn't always attack Sony in Microsoft articles."

1. I already addressed that by saying both the PS4 and Xbox One have new ip's and existing ip's.

2. I don't care what he does, I'm responding to you who seems to go out of your way to defend Sony, even in Xbox articles.

Ask yourself this, why are you here in this topic in the first place?

"Why didn't you say anything to Belking about his unnecessary and untruthful comment? Why do you never respond to guys trolling Sony, but always have time to annoy someone who isn't?"

I did. I said both systems have new ip's and existing ip's. I also find it rather ironic you of all people questioning others on who they respond to and who they ignore pending on systems.

"If you're not gonna treat both sides the same, you can't act objective. And, in either case, since You're apparently unable to understand even the most obvious things I say, I'd appreciate it if you stopped leaving ignorant responses on my comments."

I've never claimed to treat both sides equally. I'm here in a Xbox One topic because I'm interested in the system. You on the other hand seem more interested in making sure nobody bad mouths the PS4 in any topic.

Now that I answered your questions would you kindly answer mine, you guys kept going on and on about the lack of new ip's for the Xbox and core titles. Tell us, how much have you talked about those new ip's and core games for the Xbox One?

Microsoft announced at least 10 games coming to the Xbox One that won't be coming to the PS4. They are all mostly core titles and many are new ip's. Something you claimed before to be an issue for you about your lack of interest for the Xbox 360. Well here we are, it's a new generation, new games and yet the same old tactics while moving those goal posts.

Thanks in advance.

Wizziokid3942d ago (Edited 3942d ago )

In terms of Minecraft I think Sony should answer that deal buy getting Cube World on board for PS4, much better experience IMO and it's only just became publicly alpha.

Besides that TitanFall is coming out on PC so I can play that, and we all know it will be out on PS4 in the future. However I would have loved to play Dead Rising 3 and possibly Quantum Break but I'll just have to miss out.

HugoDrax3942d ago

I wish everyone would stop saying "We all know TitanFall will be out on PS4 in the future" We don't know anything in regards to TitanFall releasing on the PS4. There is hope that it will from PS4 only adopters, because it would be nice if everyone had a chance to enjoy it. I'm blessed to be able to have both consoles at launch, so rather a game is exclusive or not I'll still be able to enjoy games offered on all platforms.

Here's something to speculate about. Since the XB1 announcement, I have read plenty of comments that states how "Microsoft pays for this, Microsoft buys exclusive, etc..." What if Microsoft does buy TitanFall exclusivity? After the recognition/awards the game has received thus far, I wouldn't put it past them. When it comes to money, they seem to have enough of it to buy whatever they want. Maybe Respawn becomes Microsofts new Bungie studio?

JunioRS1013942d ago

D4?

...

D4?????

That game will sell maybe 10,000 copies.

Nolando3942d ago

Looking forward to the Xbox One! Quantum Break looks to be an awesome game!
