I lost my drive for collecting physical games due to many discs lacking the whole complete game. Instead, of collecting games I started collected figurines.
I am a collector have a room dedicated with a couple original arcade cabinets, physical game library, old and new consoles and controllers backlit with LED lighting. It’s very cool to have but with emulation being so strong and prevalent, I sometimes feel foolish because the hobby is expensive and like another said, the full game is not always on the disc. Could probably spend more wisely but I enjoy it.

There are different games. Some have gamplay at it highest priority, some have the story, some have the replay value and choices... There are a lot of different game experiences.
It is laughable that just now graphics does not have anything to do with that experiene. We have had many games of that type over time. This is just the one that have come closest to feel like playing an actual movie. Just look the the Digital foundry walkthrough it is a masterpiece in that perspective and hence wrth trying. But yes do not do it for the gameplay - but that was never the goal of this experience.
I doub't I'll ever 100% a Yakuza game, but still every thing about the series... except golf.
I have yet to finish Metal Gear Solid 4. I bought the MGS4 bundle back in the day with the Backwards compatible PS3 and I was so amped to finish the franchise off on a high note, but the game just didn't deliver like the previous titles and I felt it was more of a movie then a game.
Also they took out most of the actual stealth elements and the install times for each section got to be too numerous and tedious. I kind of felt like going back to finish it, but the lack of trophies put that on the back burner.
Umm.. I vowed to platinum demon's souls but after beating it about 5 times I still have a few trophies to get. Stopped trying about a year ago. (Nah, less than that, more like 7 months ago)
For some reason Mass Effect for me the franchise not just 1 or 2 but both combined.
Have 100hrs in ME1 but still havent made a class to get the last 3-4 achievments of using biotics.
Same goes for ME2.
