I bought the game on launch day and sold it the day after. The game is average to say the least, the reviews were obviously rigged for the fear of Rockstar balcklisting them. Out of the 15 people I know who purchased the game on both the PS3 and 360 about 8 people were dissapointed. The graphics are average ( when compared to Assassins Creed and Call of duty ) and the gameplay was quite awful at times ( Online play is not even a patch on Call of Duty ). If you are honest with yourself you would admit the game is not the best out there and there will be others that will replace it. Im expecting alot of disagrees but im just being honest.

I am not a fan of Call of Duty 4, but I will agree that the online for GTA is horrible. But come on... bad graphics? I was utterly amazed when I put the game in at how well it looked in such a big and open world. I know assassins creed was open world too, but it isn't exactly the same size, and not as much is going on. Now don't get me wrong, the graphics could be better... but I still was pretty impressed.

The motorcycles handle LIKE CRAP!! The missions that require you to follow someone on a bike can be extremely frustrating! I wish they would have made bikes a bit more forgiving.
Everything else, I can deal with. I've mastered driving cars and copters. Brucie races are great fun and very easy once you learn to drive.

I don't see how everyone says they're disappointed. At first I kind of thought it was a little boring but when i started getting into the game it became way more fun. The multiplayer is also extremely fun if you actually get into it (except when you join a free roam match with a lot of people all they do is shoot eachother). Multiplayer is pretty much all i play. Me and my friends starting cop chases are a blast. Every time I play it, I discover something new in the game. They just tried to make it on the more realistic side of everything. I don't see how so many people are dissapointed with the game when i think it really deserves that 10/10. No other game tops GTA really right now and I don't think any game will for a while, especially with all the detail. All the gaming sites know what they're talking about.

is how people call you when you're in the middle of a mission or on your way to a mission you want to do and then they call you to go out but you tell them no and then you get the thumbs down from them. Its too Sims to me, I like freedom in GTA4 not keeping up with your friendships, it just doesnt go well with what GTA4 is all about. People were intentionally mislead into believing this game was the second coming of christ based on the history of this franchise and all the coverage up until the games release which has been extremely positive.

I admit I am one of the many that fell for the hype! I didn't believe for one second however it was going to be a 10/10 in my eyes. My main criticism was the fact that this game isn't ever a 9/10. This game would actually scores fairly low by an unbiased of unbought reviewer.

This is simple the worst PS3 game I have purchased yet.

The Graphics to me is average, not fantastic
but not bad either.

The bugs and glitches are there, I know some will
say well It's a complex game, what do you expect?
That's no excuse though, The bugs/glitches should
have been at least fewer then this.

Motorcycles handle very bad, while NPC's who drive
one seem to have no issues, maybe it's just that I
cannot drive one, This is what I thought to, but
I hardly have any issues flying a Helicopter.

I Have $1.2 million with nothing big to spend it
on, so why does Niko need all this money?, in the
story he says many times how he needs money, but
for what I ask?

Multiplayer is pretty fun, I'm almost rank 4, but
at times it gets repetative, but It's still very
enjoyable.

Now GTA4 isn't all bad.

The Physics, voice acting and realistic
enviroments are awesome!.

and i know exactly what rockstar is doing. Rockstar didnt go full out with this GTA.

if you remember, gta3 is nothing compared to gtaSA in terms of content and advancment. but it was a huge hit! recognise how after each series, the game improved on its content and mechanics?

well this is exactly what i expected gta4 to be like, JUST A STARTER, the next big step to a next big franchise, with not so much stuff like gta3. i wasnt expecting a gta with a sheer scale comparable to gtaSA...of course not! but i noticed many did. (but im surprised they pulled off this much on GTA4 as it is!)

rockstar will HOPEFULLY continue to innovate(like thwey did with vice city and SA). By the next series, we'll see more stuff and by the 3rd one, we should expect to see a BIG gta game. (with all the parachutes, jets and jetpacks and stuff that make a free roaming game so magical)

ROCKSTAR IS ONLY SPREADING THE BUTTER EVENLY HERE. this is why i didnt expect too much from this game. i know that rockstar are saving some stuff for next series.
