Sony will give up a power advantage if it means squeezing as much out of the PS4 as possible and avoiding billions of $$$ in developing a new console too quickly, PS4 is a MASSIVE success so they'll milk it as much as possible just as Microsoft did last gen with extending the 360 lifecycle

The backlash was no where near as bad as deals like SFV which exposes a double standard but 3rd party exclusive deals are fundamentally anti consumer on all platforms
