I emulate it and the big difference is the HD Collection has Widescreen Support.

The PCSX2 version you can have higher resolution, and add post-processing as well as other things. But it will always be in 4:3 format unless you stretch it.

it's not a prequel to any of the other games... The article tries to disguise a topic that's been discussed with a misleading title.

it's a reboot/origin story of a new universe.

You can argue about what the gameplay should/should not be in a tomb raider game. But that topic has been done many times, and this article does less than most articles did at the time of this games release.

no, that is not possible

His "experience" is definitely a product.

If you look at the definition of product
1.a thing produced by labor: products of farm and factory; the product of his thought.
2.a person or thing produced by or resulting from a process, as a natural, social, or historical one; result: He is a product of his time.

Just because you say something is not something does not make it so. I am a banana.

Well that's awesome. I will definetly buy it now.

Higher Resolution cutscenes, and game.
And a weird chocobo (imo Bad) minigame that was only for PC.

The 8 port was better than the 7 port.

There are 2D background mods for FF7. The issue is the project is pretty big. So the backgrounds never got past a certain part through midgar the first time.

It is possible to mod the 2D backgrounds with higher resolution ones. However, it's not and likely will not be done.

It would less likely. FF8 and FF7 were previously ported to PC (FF7 was ported again at SE.com a year ago with 360 controller, win7 compatibility) by eidos back in the day.

FF9 was never ported to PC. Granted, it's still possible they decide to port that to PC. Since they've been porting everything everywhere lately.

The choices do matter (but not in the way fans wanted, and in the shallow way the series always dealt with choices). Even the ending is affected by actions because galactic readiness which changes the ending (which is definitely a cop out way of doing it, but not a lie).

You can't save both the quarians, and the geth unless you do certain things in previous both games. You don't deal with wrex if you kill him in the first one, etc. They're shallow. But the decisio...

I didn't say there's anything wrong with pandering. (Since I listed Motoko, which is one of the best female leads ever imo).

The thing I don't agree with people denying that they're being pandered too. When they obviously are.

Pandering can take away from things when it's out of place with the story/setting because it forces something in there that's inconsistent with the universe.

Or it can enhance it when the whole ...

You can have strong characters and still be pandering (traditional motoko kusanagi is a good example of this), male or female. I think the issue for a lot of people (not me idc) is more of characters being pandered to a male audience.

If someone was to argure that a lot of the characters are there to represent big breasted females and not pander to a widely male audience. I would say that's BS. They are absolutely there to pander to the male audience.

Not...

The combat in the old tomb raiders was aweful and looked ridiculous. And the acrobatics looked absolutely stupid. Maybe they could include it in way that didn't look so stupid but the previous 8 failed at doing that.

I agree on the death traps, and more complicated less everything in one room puzzles though. And slightly less combat, but I doubt that's going to occur.

It's also known, that the original tomb raider's were inspired to be the fem...

I'm not a fan of this. Imo the ME3 where one of their employees was featured in the game was more of a conflict of interest.

But, it doesn't seem new to me. I remember magazines getting World Exclusive reviews and things like that and it stating that on the cover before the internet was big.

I don't agree with it in either case.

that's good I love this game, none of the DLC were interesting until this one. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to wait for a sale and buy all the story-ish DLC and play the game again.

that would mean every mario game would get a zero in that category.

they've said it's not open world, since like forever. And that's been the case with every tomb raider, prince of persia, uncharted type of games.

I'm not saying you have to like it or anything.

It works fine with me I have a 560 ti. I do know issues are occuring, and seemingly more in the 600 series, particularly with SLI. I heard if you use the hitman Absolution profile it works the best until nvidia gets new drivers.

I had to tweak a bit, unfortunately this has always happened with PC releases, Far Cry 3 was that way for example.

I know a lot of the bugs occur with Exclusive Fullscreen (pointless), Tesselation (not pointless), High Precision (No o...

Well Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light had Multiplayer and was awesome!

It's a shame they couldn't have done something like that. Maybe it will still be cool. But the fact that Crystal Dynamics didn't even work and Eidos Montreal did doesn't really make me think the single player is going to be compromised.

That said, I don't know if the game is going to be good or not.

DeadSpace has always been action/horror. To say the first game didn't have action or wasn't an action hybrid game is idiotic, when one of the main features of the game is to dismember necromorphs.

Whether this game is good or not, I don't know, I could hate it, like I hated ME3 after loving ME1+2.
The combat system is essentially the same with slight tweaks as other dead space. To say the combat isn't like dead space is nonsensical.

I...
