The sales numbers are something like:
Japan: 45-75k
US: 130k
Others: 180k
We could be seeing 385k PS3's moved this week alone worldwide.
Does anyone know what Sony's stance on the 80gb is? Are they bringing it back in Japan and the US? If so, it could easily do 20k a week in Japan. I also believe it would raise sales to 50k+ a week in the US. I really hope Sony doesn't blow this momentum.
PSP has been winning in japan for over half a year now. If only PSP sales were that good all over the globe. I love my PSP and my PS3. This will probably be the only week where the PSP and PS3 outsell the DS and Wii in Japan. Oh and just thought i'd throw out there that PS3 outsold 360 this week in Japan 45 to 1! Nice choice Square Enix!
Value 7.0? Sigh, where are they coming up with this stuff. The game is worth the price easily. Also there is a lot of replayability, not to mention the online. What a stupid score.

Exactly. And he points to minor flaws like glass breaking animations as the reason for an 8/10. He just wants the press. I mean look at what he's accomplished so far. How often does a reviewer get interviewed?
He gave the game an 8 because of the glass bottles in act 1 and because the glass breaking physics were bad. Take a look at the interview and you will see just how shaded this guy is. He gave the game an 8 because he felt Kojima was being worshiped. I find it funny that the only negatives he could find were the cutscenes, and bad glass breaking animations... L2Review omgz!
Oh and this game is easily a 10.
I don't know why this is so funny to me but the translator translated the first block of text as:
"The prominent, spilkritiske lawyer Jack Thompson is losing ITS licence for at least 10 years, where it is not permissible for him to act as a lawyer."
I love how its refers to him as an it. Ah sweet justice. :)
Yeah it will, but look at the amount of 360's in the US. Gears 2 is the highest calibur release for 360 in 2008, followed by Fable 2. 1 million for PS3 is an achievement because of the install base. 360 should have no problem moving 1 million units.
Wow, Sony hurt themself again by not releasing more bundles, 130k would be impressive. But I guess if they did that then no one would want them because they aren't limited.
MGS4 is a hit. Also would 150% sales increase = 100k console sales this week?
But most Wii games are crap. :( The only good ones are proven Nintendo franchises and No More Heroes. And you sold a PS3 for Wii games? Pass the drugs plz!
PS3 is the choice for people who want quality. 360 is the choice for those who want a great selection of games. Wii is the choice for those looking for something different. That is the best way I can think to word it. Reviews only matter to the core gamers anyway.
It has always been the best. Its just a shame it takes everyone so long to see a good system. Not sure why all the fuss over the Wii, and the 360 is also a great machine but the faulty hardware has marred its image. I've been a supporter since day 1 and it has been a rough ride. There is still a ways to go, but I believe God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, White Knight Story, and LBP will all bring this same acclaim to the PS3. Do not be afraid to go out and buy a PS3. You won't regret it.
Go Snake! Such a great game. I hope it has legs in Japan. I want this game to sell 4-5m in its lifetime. Kojima deserves it.

PS3 has 2 games that got perfect 10's in the first year and a half of its life... How many consoles can even say they have 1 perfect 10 in their entire life cycle? I am glad I stuck with my PS3. MGS4 is awesome!
Just saw Rambo on blu-ray. It rocks. I love it. :)
They need to address the storage space issue. Also, they need to losen up on what developers they allow to make wiiware games. They allow just about any junk shovelware game, so why not any old wiiware game? We could be missing out on some great ideas.
For realistic avatars, PS3 has the best. For fun and cartoony avatars, Wii has the best. The MS avatars are one nasty looking hybrid. What a waste. Is MS going to lose E3 again?
