That's exactly what I thought as well.
And how about that line in the article about you strapping each one of the controllers to your legs? That was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read.
If anything all this does is speculate that there will be some form of motion control option for this game.
I enjoy the IGN podcasts, not a huge fan of their reviews tho. I'll usually take Colin Moriarty's reviews seriously. He's one of the good ones.
Hang a picture of an empty room in front of the Kinect - free movies!
It will probably just require you to have it plugged in. Hopefully they don't force you to use it. Which, I gotta say is a little creepy there, Microsoft.

...okay, its okay. Its only an extra month. I can wait, I think.
I would like to chime in here, on a few of your arguments.
1) That lineup of games is pretty dry to be honest. I even plan on buying a Wii U next year, but I'm quite sure both the new Xbox and PlayStation could have a better launch lineup than the Wii U's entire library when they come out. As soon as they get a 3D Mario, a new Zelda, maybe Metroid - that could change.
2) There is NO WAY the Wii U will have moved 20 million units by the time new consol...
Its not off to a hot start, that's for sure. But if we've learned anything from Nintendo last generation, its that we should never count them out.
If they can get the price down to around $250, sales could pick up if the PS4 and new Xbox are a little pricey at launch. Granted, I don't see that happening this time around, but its very possible. I still think the lifetime sales of the Wii U will be respectable, simply because it will ALWAYS be the cheaper alternativ...
Ever since I played the first LittleBigPlanet, I've always wanted Media Molecule to make a more kid-friendly third person shooter, using the Modnation art style. I kind of envisioned the gameplay being similar to Conker's Bad Fur Day on the N64, but with MM's magic touch.
Imagine creating your little soldier, equipping him with badass custom weapons and armor. Invite your friends to the map you built and kick their ass.
That's a game I would b...
Gentlemen, we are a mere 10 days away from our minds being blown.
Sly Cooper? Bad game? Have you even played the game? I doubt it.
We'll definitely get to see what the actual system looks like, we'll definitely see the controller and whatever this rumored camera peripheral is. For games we'll probably see what Guerrilla Games, Sucker Punch and Media Molecule have been working on. Hopefully some third party presence as well, and I think they'll talk briefly about some new services and features coming to PlayStation Network next-gen.
Anything beyond that, is probably wishful thinking. I...
I don't think very many people have a problem with Kinect, it's how Microsoft shoves it in your face and shoehorns Kinect functionality into anything they can - that's what people don't like.
I'll wait and see how Sony uses something like this before I judge them. It could be a horrible Kinect ripoff that no one cares about, or it could be a nice, subtle addition to the UI and an occasional game that makes good use of it. Wait and see.
If they designed the system with a specific price in mind, I don't think bundling a camera with it would change the price either way. Plus if the system and menu navigation was created with this camera in mind, it's a good thing if everyone will be getting the same experience.
I just hope they keep it to voice recognition, UI navigation and a few other cool applications (it's pretty crazy to think about what Media Molecule could create with something like this, th...
Sounds like Media Molecule is definitely done with LBP, if that's the case, I have no problem if they want to milk the franchise.
I'll keep playing them as long as they keep cranking 'em out.
It wouldn't surprise me. The PS3 will be branded as a more family-friendly, affordable system once the PS4 launches. Everyone loves Sackboy. It seems a little weird this wouldn't be on the PS4 tho. Hopefully they release it on both.
Personally, LBP has been my favorite IP this gen, so either way, its a definite buy for me, if this is true.
I can sit here and say I'll pay up to $500 at launch, but I'm most likely buying it regardless of the price.
We probably don't have to worry about that tho, $500 is the absolute most it will cost. $399 seems most likely tho.
That's great to hear! Hopefully that means they're open to doing a sequel.
@DatNJDom81
Can't you get the God of War saga now? Which includes all 5 games for $40?
This should be $39.99
1) LittleBigPlanet
2) Persona 4 Golden
3) Uncharted: Golden Abyss
4) Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
5) Gravity Rush
6) Escape Plan
7) Super Stardust Delta

If they called it the PS4 event, that would basically be a formal announcement of the PS4. They want some mystery going into the event.
Its the PS4.
