anyone who complains about their wii gathering dust is part of the problem... maybe because you're not buying great games like little king's story no one else wants to support the console
this is the first nintendo console i have ever personally owned mind you
i guess retro shouldn't have bothered with MP3 since they only sold over a mil copies.. sucks there wasn't an audience to buy it
same for porting cod:waw.. how stupid was it for them to port the game and only sell over a mil copies, what a waste of time
doesn't really explain
re4 (game that was already on 3 other platforms), re:uc
cod:waw
red steel
guitar hero/rockband
as for games w/o mario, zelda or wii... sonic, smash, wario, metroid
sad list
natal + controller seems like it would be awkward
i don't see it doing much fresh for gaming other than more sophisticated voice controls and face recognition(which are the most interested features of the device). eyetoy didn't do much for gaming other than keeping arcade style games alive. if you're mixing it with the controller it has even less room for innovation and just seems to be reduced to some sort of waggle equivalent.
and if it is just reduced to arm gestures that's t...
i'll believe traditional games will be supported by natal when i see it
funny, i liked prototype and pokemon red so he's 2 for 2 with me so far
i didn't even ask for a color.. i just asked my mom for pokemon and she even got me a red gameboy pocket with pokemon red.. with fist of the north star which i don't think i ever played .. just sold all this stuff too
i then paid some kid with a gameshark to get me all the pokemon i couldnt.. then got my own gameshark.. then found out my friend not only had pokemon blue but his own blue gb pocket...
because people want more character oriented Nintendo games?
the article keeps using the "it's" contraction where it does not apply
imagine how fresh the game could feel if they threw mushroom kingdom characters into the mix
i see just as many core million sellers on the wii as I do on the ps3 mind you
1 important reason it isn't
it can only support games the original eye toy did.. which is to say mainly arcade games, not traditional ones
technically the wii still has a higher attach rate than the ps3
and considering those platforms have a higher library of core titles to compete, i would see them getting even worse sales if anything
oh man monkey ball
that was just one of those games where me and a group of friends would sit around until we'd lose, pass the controller and have a good time
insane story.. why was there even a story?
then we'd play the party games.. even more fun
really didn't care for the wii version though
while they didn't really bring up their original ips during the conference, nintendo did unveil the biggest amount of exclusives and original ips at e3
you have to give them credit for that
everyone else basically unveiled sequels and showed footage of stuff we already knew about(even sadder showing cgi or multis mostly).. agent was the only real original ip announcement from either sony or ms
but the mainstream media didn't care about games much this year otherwise y...
I never owned a nintendo console personally until the wii.
During the ps2 era I had a lot of ps2 games like DMC, FF X etc but I lost interest in single player games and focused primarily on my PC with HL and mods, flash games, JKA, some free MMO games and gunbound.
Then I borrowed my friends GC.. I played some Sunshine and even beat Eternal Darkness. During the PSX era I used to bash the 64 until my brother got one and I fell in love with Mario 64. When Sunshine launched it wasn...
so much hype for this controller-less gaming
without buttons though it will completely alienate traditional games
sony's approach is doing this and then some and I don't see nearly as much hype for their wand device
I just don't get it.. is this that big of a deal? I give them credit for their speech recognition software but I could see Sony copying that if it were that instrumental for gaming
"One big thing that the Natal will never be able to do is pick...
i don't get it
a 5 means the game is borderline unplayable
I didn't play infamous and i'm a fan of suckerpunch mind you
but prototype is bad ass.. i haven't noticed a huge issue with the controls other than a lack of free aim
I'm about 12 hrs into it and I'm really taking my time to unlock all the abilities
finally someone is getting it
maybe not the best conference, but as far as e3 being about game announcements
nintendo unveiled the most exclusives and original ips for the wii.. games they didn't even mention in their conference like Monado
i was kind of bored by the fact that they didn't unveil any first party exclusives other than LBP racing
he's criticizing the DMC creator for making another brawler
I almost started to respect him when he praised Nintendo recently, way to lose that credibility quickly.
I guess he's fighting back to this
"I've never played Ninja Gaiden, and to be honest, I'm not that interested.
looking at his career compared to Hideki Kamiya however, Itagaki has done DOA, NG, Tecmo Bowl and a volleyball game
whereas Kamiya has worked on RE, Viewtiful Joe, ...
just beat vagrant story a few months ago.. i was pretty close to the end too, dunno why I gave up so many years ago. It didn't even work on my PS2 so luckily I still had my PSX to break out and beat it on.
also on my rpg back catalog that I finally finished.. ff vi on the psx and ff iii and ff iv on the ds
