"A system sold is a system sold, be it the ADE for $250 or the S at $200."
But you have to wonder why anyone would ever pay more money for a lesser version of the same product. It is a bit silly. MS saying "this is what the price will be" doesn't make it any less stupid. ADE, at this point, has no reason to exist.
- Final Fantasy series: 144 million copies (an increase of 2 million compared to the previous quarter)
- Dragon Quest series: 78 million copies (an increase of 2 million compared to the previous quarter)
- Tomb Raider series: 74 million copies (an increase of 7 million compared to the previous quarter)
OH....so those 7 million is the for the entire franchise, not just SoTR. They are reporting 2 million this quarter for the FF series? So if FF pulled in 2...
Typically due to poor sales or extremely negative circumstances as with ME: Andromeda and Fallout 76, yes.
I don't know. How ever many there are, how many of those games had their price cut by half in a month?
Price matters.
When did Google say they would provide free demos of all games on Stadia?
Go to the 40 minute mark to actually see the game play. Frame rate and image quality look fine, but there is no way to judge input latency in this video.
AAA games do not typically get slashed in half a month after launch. This happened so soon after launch that the game got review bombed by gamers who were angry at having paid full price.

Come on, dude. This is not normal.
And I don't know of any publisher that would kill to sell 7 million of a ...
Nier’s price wasn’t cut in half a month after its launch. I bet SE made a lot more money on Nier than SoTR
Are those SOTR numbers really great though? The game dropped to $30 a month after it launched.
Studios that big are always hiring, but yeah, you are probably right that it is too early to show anything.
I really just want to see what Playground and The Initiative are working on. Anything else is gravy after that
So one guy makes a stupid comment on a Gears article and so you decide you should bring that nonsense to a TLOU 2 article?
Frankly all you are doing is matching his fanboyism with your own.
Doubt that is the cover. It doesn't look professional at all.
I guess that magic Metacritic number isn't so magical anymore. Seems like Metacritic under 80 used to be the death knell for a game's sales. Refreshing to see this isn't always the case.
"But nothing gets anywhere when the petulant Sony Apologencia gets to have the most say while disparaging virtually anyone’s thoughts when it’s underneath a certain point threshold."
I guess you've established your bias. Not sure there is much else to say.
@Elwenil
I'm not talking about the quality of the gaming experience. I'm talking about the amount of money being spent by mobile phone gamers. It is huge. Folks can disagree all they want but that is simply a fact and is exactly what ESA is stating in their research.
@King_Noctis
"I feel like had this not been an exclusive game, people would not defend it as much and it would just go by like games like World War Z. "
Yep. That goes both ways with exclusives. Especially an exclusive like Days Gone that is seen as vulnerable. More defenders but more attackers as well. It was the same scenario with Crackdown 3.

" I have absolute no interest"
"I would barely be getting a good deal"
I think he made that explicitly clear.
