What? iPlayer has all the TV programmes that have been on TV, so they don't leave out anything. If you want more quality dramas etc. then fine, but there's only so much they can do. Also EastEnders not popular online? It sure is in my house. What if people miss an episode?
"You get unlock better cars if you remain close in lap times with a car that doesn't overlap the competition."
Do you? Is that why there is a definite list of cars that are unlocked after each event? Is that why you get a fixed amount of prize money for each event?

Also, where in GT5 A-spec does it get difficult? I don...
Yep this is why when they did get it right (e.g. the special events) it was really fun. But ultimately I just got bored of grinding on easy races. The A-spec and B-spec modes ruined it for me (and they are really the main game modes). I saw the credits roll before I'd met any challenge in A-spec - and yet even the first licence test is really difficult.
Online-only games are different, and are generally cheaper than full releases. The fact that there are other players there makes it fun, even without a campaign - for the same reason that kicking a ball about in the park is good fun. I'm talking about single-player. Still, in this day and age if you want people to play your online game you need some sort of progression structure, challenges, trohpies etc.
I didn't mean one physical button, I meant just one mode, sorry...
Yes good review - I agree with most of the things you said.
Unfortunately everyone on this site is a PS3 fanboy, and they don't realise that it's important for the GAME part of a GAME to be fun and rewarding. GT5 features a lot of grinding - FACT. This is a bad thing! It doesn't matter how good the driving physics are if in order to complete the game you need to go onto a race with an overpowered car and win it over and over. A-spec's races are unrestricted an...
Yes you are definitely missing something.
Gran Turismo 5 has numerous game modes - A-spec, B-spec, special events, licenses... how would you feel if they took ALL of these away? Surely you must concede that they have some importance? What if GT5 had just one button saying "drive" where you got to choose from 1000 cars and 30 tracks and you drove around the track with no objective, no trophies, not even a timer to record your lap times? The driving would be the same,...
hahaha "anti-gravity" - you should spend less time visiting conspiracy websites. We know what causes UFO sightings:
- Actual flying objects such as planes and balloons
- Human error; our brains and eyes malfunctioning
- Photographic errors; broken film, glare or reflections from the lens
- Fakes; some people just want attention
It might put console games to shame, but where those console games have a PC version it usually looks better than anything Source has produced.
It's getting more outdated by the day, though. The whole point was to update Half-Life 1 so that it didn't look so outdated - well it would have worked 2 years ago. Now the Source engine is looking pretty outdated itself.
They weight the reviews in the average though. If a review has been left off the list, I would suggest e-mailing them so it can be added. I don't think they're biased, maybe just a little inept.
Unfortunately Mm have screwed up big time.
They removed all trophies that could be obtained through trophy levels and H4H. This was great news - no more of those levels!
Then they added 'pins'. These are rewards like trophies but completely seperate. Some of these pins are "get x amount of hearts" or "get an x multiplier" or "collect x score bubbles". Hours after they added pins into the beta, guess what appeared.

@pixelsword
The "HD remakes" are in general WORSE than PC emulations of the same games. They don't go back and redo the textures or the models or anything - they just try and get it running on PS3 at a higher framerate and resolution, with more anti-aliasing. Which is exactly what a PC emulator does. Go and compare the GoW 1&2 "HD remakes" with a PC emulator. (It's already been done; the PC came out on top)
Wrarlrabl!!
@MintBerryCrunch
You're right, the 2D trees do not in any way impact on the gameplay. But they clearly impact on the graphics which is what the video is about.
@Maximus Prime
With all due respect, if someone makes a statement like "If they removed the HUD I wouldn't of known which one was what" and then someone else points out that GT5's graphics do NOT look like real life, you're not allowed to just change the subject to physics. Pause the video, you can ALWAYS see the trees, they are a big part of the graphics. No people don't inspect individual trees, but they don't need to to tell that they look bad...
They might not last long, but you can buy 100 of them for the price of the most expensive cables! Those 100 cables will last you as long as you need... and in practise, most cables will keep working, only some will break.
It won't stop audioquest and others from fleecing people out of their money for a product that does nothing. Still it's a good test to run and I'm glad they did it.
As for the whole PS3/360 "washed out colours" thing - this is why your TV has contrast and colour settings!!! It's so annoying that the #1 thing brought up in multiplatform comparisons is the look of the colours. I can make the colours look as deep and contrasted/washed out and flat as I ...
I swear I read an article on the BBC about a guy who really did throw a live grenade back and saved lives. But it's not something the average soldier would do.
IncGamers spelt Sackboy "Sack Boy" as well. I wouldn't get so annoyed about just this one point, but it's indicative of an underlying departure from the English language common across the internet.
I honestly think the community are going to do a better job than Mm have on the tutorials. The tutorials don't tell you how to make anything, or why the tools are useful. They're just like, "here's a mover, it makes things move." Yeah great, but I want to make a platform that moves back and forth and up and down. How do I do that? The community will be able to tell you.
