I was disappointed with GT5's graphics. There are jaggies everywhere, the environments are still quite poor and the weather effects were awful. But then Forza 3 has jaggies everywhere, the environments are slightly better, granted, but there aren't even any weather effects AT ALL. GT5 still wins over Forza 3 even if its graphics aren't "teh bezt evar".
"maybe not in sales"
This is all he's saying. He's a market analyst, not a reviewer. I'll bet he couldn't care less about playing CoD himself.
Personally I think CoD will break sales records again, despite being the same old crap. At some point it will get old, but they'll have made a looot of money by that point.
Don't worry. Hopefully in 10-20 years or so graphics will have reached the point where the limiting factor is the art design rather than the hardware. At that point I think developers and gamers will focus on the gameplay.
It's already been shipped so it's no surprise that some shops have been selling it. Glad the delay isn't too long.
Actually movement is one of the most important features of an FPS. It's what helps keep them unique and interesting. A whole community built up from the jumping in Quake 3...
Well-deserved, though the BBC cocked up on radio, calling him "George Cage"... wtf..., and here they call him "David De Gruttola," which I know is his real name but still he is known as David Cage.
Attach rate is meaningless when it counts consoles that were sold 5 years ago.
Those consoles have broken, been replaced, or been forgotten about.
I agree. It's been a recent trend of Japanese developers wanting to make "western" games, and they fail miserably at it.
Actually look at SCE London Studio and what they have produced...

You can reel off a list of exclusives, but the fact is the PS3's list trumps that quite easily. Yes the second half of last year was a little dry for PS3 games, but already in 2011 the PS3 has had LBP2, Killzone 3 and Motorstorm: Apocalypse is just around the corner.
To be honest I'm surprised MS has as many exclusives as they do, given that they have far fewer first-party devs than Sony AND they are devoting time to Kinect games nowadays. Though Sony's devs have ...
Looks like it's harder to crash in this game. There were a couple of heavy hits where I thought "he should have crashed there."
Will they make the money back?
The first reviews are in and it seems to be getting about 8/10. Now I can't say I agree or disagree with reviewers, BUT reviewers are gamers too and so they give an indication of what people will think when they play it. I'm not 100% confident it will be a smash hit.
"A severely under appreciated game. Luckily the sales talk for how much people really like the game."
So sales > reviews?
I thought CoD and Halo and Gears sucked?
Do most PS3 games suck that have poor sales?
Where is your consistency?
*memories*
Back when I was just a lurker, but I remember it well.
@Hassi
It's 7-8 hours PRESUMING there are enough seeds to upload to you at that speed. Even small torrents can take ages sometimes.
Well it's a problem that the game creates itself. In a game where you don't have ranks or unlocks, matchmaking (i.e. reducing the number of options for a game from tens of adjustable parameters creating millions of combinations to just 3 playlists) is completely useless. Its ONLY PURPOSE is to stop people playing to grind. But of course people only keep playing to up their rank anyway.
What happened to games where you played them because they were fun? Counter-Strike:...
No I think you have failed to rationalize why people don't like the game. This is a long drawn-out version of the argument that goes, "you don't know what GT5 is about it's a SIM not an arcade racing game." I can't speak for others, but this is not why I dislike the game at all. I would welcome a true-to-life racing simulator. GT5 is not it. GT5 is a driving simulator, and everything apart from that is not great.
To suggest that GT5 parallels a real ...
Looks crap. Sorry, but he's having to use buttons and it STILL looks cumbersome. So this has destroyed the point of kinect at the same time as making the game awkward to play. Well done.
I hope people can see now why Kinect games are as they are. It is obvious that devs TRIED to make these kind of things when they first got their hands on the tech (as home devs have now Kinect has been hacked). They just didn't work. I said it before Kinect was launched. It doesn'...
Next up - old rehashed maps from World at War sell 1.4 million in 24 hours.
I think the auto-aim was for people using 360 controllers to play online.
