Maybe they had full intentions of releasing it at the advertised resolution, but at the last second, they ship it with a few pixels missing in order to increase performance. Maybe they're not willing to go back and reprint all the boxes and say screw it.
Where did Sony fail? I can think of two ways.
The first: According to Sony the only way to experience next get entertainment is through their PS3. So why the hell do they only include standard cables? Where's the component cables(I can understand why no HDMI)? Tell me why I can't experience next gen right out of the box. Honestly, that's a poor move on their part. Even the so called money grubbing Microsoft kicked in both kinds.

The Dreamcast was an awesome machine along with it's controller. What is the Playstation controller but a glorified Super NES controller?
I also find it strange that they cropped the picture so not to show the button mapping. Weird. Well if this is true then my 360 has PS3 graphics.
One thing should be noted is that you do not have to purchase a gold membership to be on xbox live. You can still download anything that you may want to watch or play (live arcade) for free. Also if by chance you do want to play games online you don't have to purchase a whole year, you can purchase 1 month or 3 months subscription anywhere.

How many more price adjustments do you want it to make? The PS3 has already had what 2 or 3 price drops. That only being during their first year. I don't ever remember any other console dropping prices that soon after launch. I think $399 is a great deal for what was once a $599 machine. I think the next price adjustment may come from Microsoft. Only after they suck the wallets of Christmas shoppers.
As for Metal Gear being a system seller. I'm sure it will sell some but ...

It's hard to make customized icons when something doesn't use them. So what's the point. Also thanks for the info with the usb. I'll be sure to try that.

I was on Amazon yesterday and also noticed the best seller list but here's something I found more interesting. The 80G version is selling better then the 40G version.
Whether or not that because one comes with a game while the other a movie I don't know. Also could be because the 40G has no backward compatibility. Any thoughts?

I love the film grain look. But that's just me and my photography ways I guess.
I haven't had any problems with it. Not to far into it yet though. I'm a magnet for glitches though. If there is any in a game I am sure to find them. I've learnt to save a lot.
I don't understand all the fuss. Anything when mass produced is going to have a few mishaps. I once bought a dvd movie that had no dvd in it. Try explaining that one to the store clerk.
I'm tired of that argument. Did Tomfoolery say that he didn't believe that there are faulty 360's? NO. In fact he was just stating a fact that his is still working. Which guess what I have a launch 360 also and it's working fine. The way the sony fanboys go on it's like every console to leave the assembly line is faulty. That's just not true.

Here's what I think is going on. Desmond has acquired the Eagle Vision because he and Altair are now synched together. By being able to access these lost memories he has now unlocked some hidden potential. BTW if you haven't already use the eagle vision in his room and look at the wall above his bed.

X-play devoted a whole show to Ratchet and Clank. Talking about how great the game was and how much he and Morgan loved it. It got a 5 out of 5. Now if this was the story instead of mass effect would you sony boys still be saying the same thing?

There will never be a Perfect Game... ever! Just because a game scored a 5 out of 5 on a review doesn't mean it's perfect. What it really means is that REALLY liked it. Why is there so much emphasize on scoring lately?
Play the games you like people, who cares what others may say. I enjoyed playing Overlord, was it scored high? No. But that doesn't mean I didn't like playing it. Oblivion is lousy with glitches and frame rate problems does that mean I won't play it. NO....
They also gave Ratchet and Clank a 5 out of 5. Are the Sony fanboys going to say that it shouldn't have gotten that because no game should? I think not. I bet they also give (if they haven't already) Uncharted a 5 out of five. If you watch X-Play you will see they give many games this score and are pretty fair in their evaluations.
Well it's like this, if I'm going to show customization in a game I'm going to try and sell it's at least going to match the character and look somewhat believable. FYI
Just to add in on the conversation here. If the PS3 is where next gen starts then why can't I expierience that out of the box? Oh and btw holding the on button doesn't work.
I do not need wi-fi? Why be forced to buy something I don't need? Oh and the Xbox does come with a hard drive(I'm sick of that argument). Only one version doesn't and I see no problem in giving an option. The core system is mainly to appeal to people who may be looking for a wii.
