Nintendo printed trading cards longer than they've produced anything electronic. They also ran brothels and cab companies.

Nintendo has become irrelevant numerous times already and all signs point to them doing it again.

@ShadowWolf712: Does Willy the Wombat ring any bells? Because it started in 1994 under Universal Studios Interactive. So how do you not contract a game already under development when they supposedly didn't?

Further the competitors at the time were Sega and Nintendo. Both of which had first party mascots where Sony has zero. Thus the choice to publish Crash Bandicoot while the IP remained with Universal Studios Interactive. Further in the future where Activision holds th...

Yes. Sony is paying Activision for timed exclusivity, allowing rumors to spread about pure exclusivity that doesn't exist, NDA stops Activision from clarifying.

A clear example of this is Crash Bandicoot.

Another example is Quantic Dreams. Their titles were labeled exclusive while true exclusivity was never on the table.

Sony also purchased Naughty Dog from Universal Interactive Studios and praised their titles as exclusive, even ca...

Reading and having an understanding of what you're reading isn't what N4G is about. Nor gaming. It's all about the circle jerk individuals can take part in every day without having a clue nor conveying factual information.

Switch still has crossplay for Fortnite. The way players are randomly pooled was changed. It does not stop Switch players from playing with other platforms.

Microsoft is publishing and providing crossplay titles, not simply allowing a select few. There's a rather huge difference.

So as I said. No Sony is not. Their walled garden is still closed short of what third parties are doing and select third parties at that.

I also believe you are forgetting Shadowrun which predates FF XIV. A Microsoft product no less. While Shadowrun didn't cross consoles it did show Microsoft was already looking at not only c...

Because a poor game with poor sales on every platform would magically be better with crossplay and that's what everyone is saying. /s

It at the very least allows for faster pool times and results in getting in a game faster. It also promotes the ability for players to pick up any device that supports the game and still be able to play with friends & family with less restrictions.

Simply put no. Fornite is happening because of Epic Games and uses Epic accounts. Dauntless is happening because of Phoenix Labs and uses Epic accounts. Modern Warfare is happening because of Infinity Ward and will likely use Activision accounts.

Not to mention Minecraft has allowed crossplay for longer than any of the aforementioned titles yet Sony still isn't opening that door. All because it's done by Mojang and uses Xbox Live login. Minecraft has managed to stay...

That’s the thing. Sony omitted a lot they did in the past for a quick cash grab. And it really didn’t work.

PS3 has smoothing & upscale for PSOne content. PlayStation Classic doesn’t. Plus all of the games included are in their original formats.

Then during the PSOne era Sony themselves pushed you needed to get the DualShock controller to best experience games and for the use of analog sticks which some games required. To go back to the D-Pad only is ...

Awkwardly there's no confirmation that any platform outside of PS4 is at 1.05. Most reports also list the PS4 specifically having issues that aren't present on other platforms.

Because coming from the PS3 generation to PS4 Sony has consistently delivered the message it was good to remove features rather than add them?

Why can Sony make PSOne games on all consoles prior to PS4 and could even do so with their handhelds yet they somehow can’t on PS4 and people are questioning PSOne titles at all going forward?

@DarkZane: That would be false. Sony even says inserting a CD into your PS4 may damage it.
https://manuals.playstation...

The CD diode is not there as Sony wanted to cut down costs on their drive, push their own music services, and because Sony believes that nobody uses CD. While they did use CDs for PSOne and some PS2 games.

@CaptainCook: That’s not Microsoft’s method. Not only does Xbox have a familiar architecture that makes the process a cakewalk Xbox One, One S, and One X have CD playback ability as they have a CD diode.

In other words Microsoft isn’t using any techniques to make it happen.

You want them to include in the correct tech to read CDs but not DVDs... When PS4 does not read CDs but does DVDs.

Not to mention that Sony on PS3 removed more PSOne content than anything else from the digital store.

Not to mention again Sony also removed PS2 backwards compatibility after launch models then ran with the “PS2 Classics” idea instead. Which continues on PS4 with no PS2 backwards compatibility and “PS2 Classics on PS4” being a thing. Ironical...

Beyond I completed. Not 100% platinum status but more than enough.

I tried Detroit one time and it’s pretty crap.

Platinumed Heavy Rain also. Detroit is really crap.

Detroit sucked compared to Beyond. Without question.

PlayStation has an enforcement team too. They at one point had multiple across multiple games and applications.

PlayStation Home most notably. They like going by the term “Moderators” in Sonyland.

@Mr_Writer85: So curious. Where in that entire article does it say, "4 games" or how many GAMES are being added? Because the one place that says ANYTHING about game totals on that page lists 100 new games for the month of June for Game Pass. Or are you attempting to link the two as written exactly the same(they aren't) so that the site submitted here blends info with another story on another outlet from another writer?

Probably akin to the deal Sony had with Quantic Dreams. Second party with guaranteed exclusives. Though Quantic Dreams is starting to produce those exclusives outside of PlayStation since the deal is done.

Quantic Dreams would be a developer for MS to look at in my opinion. They have expressed interest in their next title being multiplayer and MS could definitely assist with funding and infrastructure.
