The picture they took from the game and used in their article says it all.

Without good shadowing, lighting, ambient occlusion, etc, you just don't know what you're looking at. If the protagonist holding the axe weren't there, this could just as well be an action figure placed in a cupboar...
These devs just don't care.
We made these rooms with the boxes on fire and you spray them with the hose. We made these guys and you shoot them when they walk toward you so give us money. We deserve money.
Here's a British woman warning you of a bad thing in a typical self-destruct sequence voice. We made a spinning warning light give us money.
Very bad could actually be an understatement.

At least they gave it a suitable title.
I thought this game had promise prior to the PS5 launch, but with each subsequent video it seemed to diminish in quality. Sad but expected.
Edit: Holy no thank you.

So, he doesn't understand it, therefore it's "overbearing" and needs an "editor." I've heard some bad takes but this is pretty embarrassing.
If you wanted more gameplay and less story, fine, I understand that preference and don't hold it against you, but don't pretend that it's poorly executed or conveyed because it's over your head.
@Prof
The combat and traversal are enjoyable, but the writing and side missions are absolutely not, nor is playing as "Hailey" who I couldn't give a fraction of a damn about. There are just too many non-Spider-Man elements to this Spider-Man product.
Writers are using the inherently morally upright worlds of superheroes as their new dumping grounds to push woke agendas, and they've packed Spider-Man 2 with 'feel-good' woke stori...
@redlight
I'm generally a pretty big fan of PlayStation first-party fare, and my criticisms of Spider-Man 2 have absolutely nothing to with console warring. However, your criticism of my comments has everything to do with console warring - it's what drove your unhinged response and prompted you to go comment rummaging.
Yes, sometimes I criticize PlayStation games. That's not "propaganda" - it's merely criticism and opinion that d...
If this game did anything, it made me entirely disinterested in buying future Spider-Man games.
It's gorgeous. The story, tone, visuals, music, and sound design are so utterly top notch. I love the punchy crispiness of the guns. So good.
Spider-Man 2 honestly doesn't look *that* much better than Spider-Man: Miles Morales or even Spider-Man. Only marginally so.
You're embarrassing yourself.
If you have interest in the old classics, I would argue PS+ Premium is somewhat palatable. The price, the lack of day one first-party, and the shoddy streaming service are off-putting.
GamePass has it beat.
I can't believe how good it looks on console.
Nah. These guys are consistently contrarian for contrarianism's sake. Patterns tend to be noticeable.
@Versus
At least Taylor Swift fan mail is emotionally genuine. Definitely can't say the same for Obscure's comments.
Metro seem to enjoy going against the grain.
Overly acronymized, but I like it. I suspect an agree is coming your way.
I didn't either. Never discount Remedy.
Oh hell yes.
AW is one of my favorite games OAT and I've been waiting a long time for this.
Can't wait.
Too generous.
