Same here, the original assassins creed 2 was really good. Assasins creed origins really turned a corner for me I really enjoyed it you should try that first. Assassins creed odyssey though was really bad ., bogged down by tones and tones of meaningless content it Was beyond stupid. The whole game was one big grind from start to finish. If it’s the origins team we are on for a treat but otherwise I will stay away from it .

Your actually right in a lot of respects games today have multiple copy’s of the same files to try and help with the slower speed, this won’t be the case next gen it’s not that they will use lower resolution textures although it’s a huge possibility it’s more to do with the compression technique Sony’s philosophy of building the console around faster storage and compressed file use it’s one huge step ahead of Xbox.
