In what way is a PS5+PSVR2 not a high end cost?
Well it is TheVerge. They're no stranger to tone-deaf projection.
Budget wasn't the real issue with Outer Worlds. The writing was bad. The characters were bad. The gameplay was bad. The exploration was shallow beyond the settlements. The customization was bad. Conversations were mundane. The concept was a single very on-the-nose joke on repeat that kept falling flat, "le living in unregulated capitalist dystopia". May as well just play Fallout, even a Bethesda made one and find a better experience in practically every way.

No thanks. Outer Worlds didn't instill confidence, it was mediocre in just about every way. Obsidian isn't the same studio it was when it made New Vegas. Most of the talent for that left long ago.
Where did I say that was the case? I have no use of a PS5, therefore it's e-waste to me.
Does that include psychological projection?
Good work captain obvious
"buy a PS5 for one game...that's coming to PC anyway"
No I don't think I'll go buy japanese e-waste
Then short-sighted people willingly stuck in a locked down ecosystem can't complain when soulless conglomerate does soulless thing for their or against another soulless conglomerate proprietary device.
Adapt or perish.
If you want less extremism then perhaps you should start creating a society worth living in instead of aggressively doing the opposite. Trying to control extremism by not making it visible doesn't make it go away, it just makes it more volatile. This has always only ended one way for ideologically stunted complicit politicians in an failing indirect democracy.
Just casually ignores the absolute fleecing and less options that comes with proprietary hardware.
"Better value", lol lmao even. Yea those unnecessary $70 releases, $10 "upgrades", rip-off paywalls, and gimped controller analog sticks totally amount to saving money long term. /s
Art imitating life.
Get mental health screened.
Can finally mod the granny out.
Such an unfitting choice of music for that trailer.
Couple of decals and cel-shading does not make something "anime", Kotaku.
@TheTony316 Depends who you're asking. For anyone with little to no reference to technological modernity sure. I'm however so use to 60FPS and above that anything less to me is insufferable.
That $500 PS5 has to run the game at an archaic 30FPS in quality mode, with the performance mode being upscaled 1440p with heavy dips trying to maintain 60fps. Neither is an ideal experience.
Grasping at straws even using the word "superior" for this game.
@Eonjay
You can play financial semantics for consoles too. $1100 for both a PS5 and PSVR2, now let's factor in all the premium costs generally ignored. $70 games, $10 "upgrades", $10 monthly redundant paywall fee over a generation. Say you buy 20 new releases out of the year, $70 a pop. That's $1,400 a year, + $60 for 12 month paywall, and let's be generous and say you "upgrade" only three titles $30. That comes to $1,490 a year, over the course of an ...
