I love Halo 3 but that doesn't mean I've totally forgotten about everything else that's coming out. Do you really think the future sales of the games on this list will be affected because Halo 3 came out several months before. Let's not forget, the 360 has seen success in the past 2 years and that success was earned without the Halo franchise. There are other games on the 360 that are great too.
People talk as if hype alone magically creates success for a game. Hype does help. But if you say halo3 is big because of hype then you could hype any crappy-ass game and generate the same sales as halo3. Think about it, hype is no excuse for a game's success. Warhawk wasn't hyped at all, it's a good game, but if it was hyped it might have made just a minor difference in the sales numbers.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, not everyone has the same points of view. The graphics of Halo 3 are fantastic! Sure, GoW's graphics are better, but there's different art direction. I say, if Bungie was trying to artisticly direct halo 3 like a comic then they nailed that goal spot on. Good job bungie, and thanks for a phenominal game.

You're right MK red. Even though Saint's Row was a complete rip-off of GTA, it was still a great game. If they can keep that greatness coming then SR2 should be good regardless of GTA4.

This game has been in develpment for a really long time now. Do you remember the nice screenshots we saw a few years back? maybe by the time they get this out the WWII theme will be fresh again.
Why is everyone comparing Heavenly Sword to Halo3? That's just dumb. Also, Warhawk may be a good game, but we'll see how long people are playing it compared to Halo3 multiplayer. Halo2 Multiplayer withstood the test of time.

Who the hell cares? Swapping disks is better than coughing up 200 bucks just for a blu-ray feature. That's right, the sony camp is paying a lot of money just to keep games on one disk? Is it worth it, I mean, if you're not insane is it worth it? No. To answer #2 question, I think 5 disks would be too much, I can deal with four. And Jason has a point, Mass effect is on one disk and the game is HUGE.
To answer your question Spike, I played Call of Duty2, GRAW, Oblivion, PGR3, Saints Row, and of course Halo2 from last gen, all kickass games. Oh wait, Gears of War was released before the first year anniversary too. So ya. Sorry the first year isn't that cool on PS3, guess you'll have to "keep waiting".
I don't even care which one is better. NG series is the best and funnest hack n slash to date. Im just glad to see the sony camp is enjoying Sigma as much as I enjoyed Black. It's okay that they won't get this sequel, they have God of War 3 to look forward too.
