ooooh baby that 911 Turbo S
Still crying about the price
It all started with Mattrick, and went downhill from there. It's pretty wild how much they stumbled since the Xbone and never truly recovered.
Good for Japan.
Everyone else, can participate in Squid Game 3 to get one
This is a misleading comment, and willful ignorance. This should be ignored and treated simply as a fanboy post.
And the RTX 5090 is probably going to be $1999 and translate down the stack
5080 $1499
5070 $999
5060 Ti $699
If you are complaining about the PS5 Pro pricing, then keep that same energy to all electronics including gaming PC components
A lot of the dumb takes I saw on YouTube were the comparison of still images side by side, when of course one is 30FPS and the other is 60FPS, which you know, really matters when actually playing the game.
The overreaction is still the price. It's still a legitimate concern for many people, but they need to stop trying to make like the actual product itself is bad.
There's a reason why a Honda Civic Si costs significantly more than a regular Hon...
I'm glad it's not a true "sequel" as it will be refreshing to explore a new storyline and see new characters
@DustMan
My PC is in my home office, and the PS5 is in the living room, connected to a 120" Projector (Epson LS800)
@DustMan
When you got idiots suggesting to not pay utility bills to buy a console, it's an idiotic argument.
Damn how poor are you people where $700 affects your ability to pay utilities? If you are in that position, you shouldn't buy any console.
@romulus23
lol yes there are these people too. We know who they are. It rhymes with mailbox fans.
Because they want the narrative to fit their story.
How else do you make something like a gaming console look less valuable? You point out the alternative and all the great things it can do, while ignoring the base reason why anyone would want it to begin with.
This has existed since the dawn of PC vs Console gaming and it's the same old tired playbook we've seen time and time again.
And I have what's considered a high en...
I think the outrage is that these people actually WANT it, but can't afford it.
Sony has a gun to their heads right now though, they HAVE to pay the $700. It's a done deal. When Nov 7 hits, if these people don't purchase, they will be visiting God.
At least that's how they're all reacting.
Right but people are ignoring the actual performance uplift of the new machine. Everyone is acting like the SSD drive is the *only* difference. The bigger GPU has a cost.
I stand with the people, the price initially is too high. They messed up.
But when you take a subjective look at the device itself, it's not that surprising why it costs what it costs in today's economy. When $5 burgers are now $12-$15. Other than cavemen, nobody should be this l...
Nobody is defending the price. Just looking at the facts here.
$599 with the disc drive and 2TB?
That's $599 - $79.99 = $520 - $50-100 for 1TB = $470-$420 making it the same or cheaper than the regular PS5.
That's not how this works. You'd be fired immediately if you were the financial analyst suggesting this.
I'm not comparing to what Sony would have made in profit, but rather the consumer market pricing.
I already agree this was a bad strategy and up front price. Sony really messed this up by making it a default 2TB console. Nobody would have complained if it was 1TB. And yes they should have included a stand and the disc drive.
But again comparing to what's available, you have really only one other option. The $449 PS5, also no disc and no stand. ...
Excellent point!
Yeah that's what I mean. Sony fucked up here with their messaging and pricing strategy.
Sure we would have gotten memes about $599 being the price tag of the PS3, but at least the entry price difference would have been "only" $150 instead of $250.
Everyone always acting like it's a race. lol
