Gears is old now, it was amazing back then but its surpassed by Uncharted, GT5P, COD4, R&C and even UT3.
Gears 2 will not cause the same "wow" as Gears did simply because there are much more amazing games in the market now than there were before.

I got the game, i think it has lots of replay value. I personally would like to get all the cars and get all gold...
Sure you might finish the SP in a few days, but you could also do that in DMC4 or HS, and this is a racing game so you can play it over and over and beat times etc.
One thing is for sure, you wont get gold in all events straight away.
