I'm guessing he never had a Neo Geo.
Hmm tempting. It's a game i'll definitely play long-term so I doubt i'd sell my physical copy. My wife is now interested in Borderlands 2 as well. I may cancel my preorder from amazon and just get it on PSN instead. That way we save $60 and we can both play it. All we lose is the key to the one nice loot chest. Sounds like a great deal to me!
Just for the week? ;-) It's going to eat my brain for at least a month. I'll probably rotate between Borderlands 2, XCOM, and Tekken Tag 2 all the way through November.
I don't disagree with anything there. I bitch about Capcom only for non-RE things like releasing Street Fighter 4 enough times to make your head spin - or f-ing up shipping of their products so badly that it takes 14 days to go from West Coast to East Coast. I think I made the trip faster when I played Oregon Trail!
It's obviously a controller for the Dreamcast 2.
Not really, the story is light but the background and lore info is pretty funny. Free on PS+ now. You should play it anyhow, its just a damn good game.
Roll 1D4!
Can a player roll away from those OTG hits? Is there something like SC5 maybe where you can control the direction of your fall and roll on the ground to avoid fast follow up shots?
Not good enough for the $30 for sure. Rainbow Moon is a better investment for both time and money.
Good call on the top. I prefer the threaded lollipop top so I can unscrew the stick when I take it somewhere. Fight sticks just don't pack well unless you get those threaded tops you can unscrew. However, I'm a square gate guy 100% now. Once I got a 360 down to a frame or two there was no looking back. Much easier SRK motions on a square gate as well.
I agree, the graphics were disappointing. I thought perhaps my problem with the game play was me just not being very good at the controls. I found it frustrating and really unbalanced (but just assumed I sucked at the game, not that the game itself sucked). Good to hear from someone else who felt the same.
Lollipop Chainsaw, not the other way around. ;-) But if you've played a Sude 51 game, you knew what to expect. The structure is exactly the same as Shadows of the Damned. The art is awesome and the music is great. Not enough for $60, but for $40 it was pretty good. LC was more enjoyable for me than RE:ORC and NG3.
I with you on everything but Lollipop Chainsaw. I just finished the campaign the other day and I really enjoyed it. It should have been a $40 game from day one though, not $60.
I have a future prediction, Dust 514 will suck just as much as Starhawk does now.
I think the deciding factor if this stick is good or not will be the button and joystick parts. If they are a quality source like Sanwa, then I think it will be a decent stick. If Razer has started making their own button parts, then I don't think it will be worth MadCatz TE fight stick price range.
Descent and Arkham Horror are two of my favorite recent board games.
I heard a lot of people hated Claptrap from Borderlands. I loved him, but I could see how he would irritate some folks.
Most annoying character for me: The stupid Goth classmate kid in Lollipop Chainsaw.
Otherwise i'd say the girl from Ico. I hate escort missions unless it's a different type of escort game, like we play in Vegas. :-)
I'll check this out too. I'm surprised there haven't been any worm hole jokes yet.
At least they are well behaved, not like those Dragon's Dogma barbarians wrecking every piece of furniture in sight.
"Insane difficulty". Please. I'm at the final battle right now and it was not hard to get here. I never bought a coin or a pearl. I never had to grind a single level for anything. Sometimes you need to take responsibility for not having skill at a certain genre instead of automatically blaming the game.
The author has it backwards. The article was a cash grab (hits for ads), not the game.
My only problem with the update was that it did not allow me to pre-order and pre-download Borderlands 2. :-)
