Oops, they forgot the moron protection! No wonder so many N4G users are upset.
This is a positive review and yet the first comments are the usual queue of Sony fans desperately trying to spin it to a negative.
A respected site with a good track record says that Kinect works and is remarkable technology.
Deal with it. It doesn't make Sony's offerings any less good or less valuable, so take your insecurities somewhere else.
My God. This site is a travesty.
We've largely only seen responses to the Cirque du Soleil show that introduces Natal.
It was never meant to be a real-time demonstration of the tech, so all the bitching is misplaced. The internet 'press' complaining about an event that was clearly not meant to be informational is frankly embarrassing. Could sites like Destructoid be trying any harder to seem disdainful and edgy? In a hip "Gee we're so jaded and freakin' interesting" kind of way?...
You guys are getting a bit carried away aren't you? The 'Natal' event was a show pure and simple, not a demonstration of the tech. That's why it's not being televised live.
I'm a bit disappointed that the IGN AU crew weren't informed enough to realise this.
I'm not at all surprised that the posters at N4G aren't.
Kinect may well yet suck, but judging it based on a show designed by Cirque du Soleil is stupi...
The article uses VGcharts and Greenberg refers to NPD. The article uses world-wide figures while Greenberg refers to the US only.
The article is a waste of time.
There is an obvious conflict of interest in the Famitsu case and it should have been declared clearly for the sake of the readership.
It doesn't matter if other sites have committed the same sin. It's strange to see how this article, and some posters here, defend one wrong doing with evidence of another, as if they magically cancel each other out.
When 'journalists' form partnerships with advertisers we, the consumers, are the victims. If there is any kind of commer...
"It's beautiful and brilliant but visually uneven at points"
He says great things about it and adds one slight (and true) observation.
You guys are far too precious.
I'm no fan of Sterling but the article, and most of the comments resulting from it, are idiotic.
Many reviewers play games on debugs for review.
If you don't know that, then you shouldn't be posting comments here. If you do know that then just shut up. Please.
The writer of the article should be embarrassed by their own ignorance. They think they're Sherlock Holmes, but it turns out that they're only Inspector Clouseau.
I have all three consoles this gen and even I find the Sony extremists far more numerous and annoying than those from other consoles.
The article is right. 100%.
Are you really so naive to think that Sony's only concern is your happiness?
Do you feel the same way about your toaster?
I loved the demo, so I'm not surprised by the scores, the game will be epic no doubt, possible GOTY.
I'm puzzled though, why does this thread, which deals with a number of very positive reviews, obsess about a bunch of outlets that haven't scored the game yet?
Those outlets aren't biased, but the people commenting here certainly are.
Time to grow up.
They're not 'looking down' on the PS3 version, they're simply reporting their findings.
Up till now, many multiplatform games have been inferior on the PS3, what do you expect them to do? Lie about it?
After reading their report there is no doubt that they think the PS3 version is superior and they detail that clearly. This ridiculous claim that they're biased because they weren't negative enough is bordering on insane. What did you want them to do, burn an effigy ...
The article reads like the ranting of a overprotective fanboy. It's just the type of pathetic and paranoid reasoning that has given this site, and PS3 fanboys in general, such a terrible name.
Digital Foundry is not biased. If you think they are based on the linked article, then you are an idiot.
This game has got me in a spin. I didn't love the demo but now the English language reviews (important because voice acting will mean a lot in HR) are all looking golden!
This might be one of those games that you just have to lock yourself away with and let the experience drift over you.
Damn, my hopes are up again!
There's nothing brilliant in this demo, that's the uncomfortable truth.
The article goes out of its way to justify the failings but, sadly, the QTE sequences are just that, typical, normal, ordinary and boring QTE.
The investigation sequence is, frankly, dull. I hate the glasses and 'think Batman Arkham Asylum but more realistic' is stupid thing for the author of this article to say. Magical sunglasses are never 'more realistic' than, well, anything.
I'...
This won't be popular, but here goes...
I found the demo to be quite dull and the lack of actual control you have over your character was frustrating.
It's no point dressing up the truth, this is a Quicktime game pure and simple, I had to press and hold three buttons just to squeeze past the dumpster! What?
While it does look great and the production was first-class, the only times I thought 'Wow' was in those character close-ups that happen during load...
And the fact that you only have a PS3 and you're trolling in this thread means what? That you're insecure? Jealous? A little of both?
Maybe you should get a paper-round and earn enough money to enjoy the benefits of both consoles. Think how much time you'll save in self-justification.
@dutchboogie
The script rivals the 'best of Hollywood movies'?
What a ridiculous statement. Even the best video games have stories that are only pale shadows of the greatest films. Don't be deluded, you're only setting yourself up to be disappointed.
"Deal with Coca Cola,"
What? You're listing that as a feature?
All three keynotes were underwhelming with the sole exception of the 3DS part of Ninty's.
Lot's of good games coming, but in terms of keynotes... Worst. E3. Ever.
