NEWS FLASH
Sony guy prefers Sony stuff!
More at eleven...
What a joke. How long should the reviewers have waited? Two days? A week? Until the first title update?
If Sony was so keen for reviewers to try the online modes they should've activated it much earlier.
Reviewing is a time sensitive thing. Every decent site is going to do everything it can to get a review up at the first possible opportunity.
As for MS paying sites for bad reviews. Just grow up, seriously.
It's simply a matter of expectation. If you take a triple A franchise and work on it for five years then everyone is going to expect something utterly revolutionary. When what you supply is merely excellent then it's a disappointment.
We've seen it again and again, Splinter Cell suffered from it, as did Alan Wake. There's nothing wrong with those games, in fact they're both very, very good. The problem is that they're not five years good.
I think their reporting numbers from two years ago because it's obviously in Sony's interests to under-report their sales and make the foolish press think that they're doing worse than they are.
Clever aren't they?
Your post is ridiculous.
Who do you think manufacturers ship their units to? Themselves? They only ship stock to retailers who ORDER the stock from them based on their NEEDS.
It's not as if MS just ship 100,000 units to Walmart 'just in case'.
You can only zoom in to such an extent because it's a 3.2 billion pixel pic. It's not as if you could do this with a normal image.
I have both HD consoles and only use the PS3 to play PS3 exclusives. Everything else I play on the 360 because the multiplats are generally better.
So from my point of view the 360 has a massive and stellar line up and the PS3 only a handful of great games over the next couple of years.
I'll give you a red-hot tip.
I own a Playstation Eye and it does precisely sweet F.A.
That article takes sad fanboy loyalty to a pathetic extreme. A desperate fantasy about Sony rebounding in the future to show all the non-believers what for?
Come on people. It's a machine.
Do you guys fantasize about Maytag launching a massive assault on Fisher & Paykel in 2015?
Just dare to dream!
I rest my case.
This place really is getting worse. The comments so far are a perfect example of why N4G is slowly, but surely, going down the tubes.
@ Whoever is running this place.
Read the comments in this thread at your next meeting. It's time to take serious action before it's too late.
Does anyone actually read the articles? This thing must've been written by Paul the Octopus.
"self inflicting bad press upon itself"
Heh, heh. Genius.
Kinect is primarily aimed at 'new experiences' for better or worse.
There's no point just being an alternative control method for normal games, you have a controller that already does that job quite nicely. Why would I use Move on this or Ruse when I can use the controller I already own?
If I want to play Kinect games I have to buy Kinect.
@ clintos
I think that GusBricker is right about how ignorant you are being, but wow, you're getting very excited by this whole Kinect thing aren't you?
What are you going to do if it's a success? Join a monastery?
Couldn't I just do that with my Dualshock?
I was keen to pick one up, but that price is a little too rich for my blood. In all likelyhood the thing will cost $200 plus by the time it gets down-under.
I'll have to stick with my Xbox web cam and Totem Ball.
Oh damn. That's depressing.
Fable 2 was a fabulous game.
Given the rabid behaviour of many Sony fanboys on this site it's hilarious to read the 'these differences don't matter' line trotted out when comparisons like this favour the opposition.
It is better than it was no doubt, but Home is still pretty dire.
The concept of having to wait in a virtual queue to play a virtual game in a virtual world is just so...stupid.
Great view from my apartment though.
Lose even more money on every piece of hardware sold just as piracy appears set to take off?
What an idiot.
