The idea that 'hardcore' gamers will stop using a traditional controller in favour of Move or Kinect is plainly stupid.
I cannot imagine that people who play a lot of games will ever abandon the type of controllers we now have.

Just because the demonstration was set up at that distance doesn't mean that it's the minimum possible distance. Did it occur to anyone that the display was calibrated to that distance, hence the line?

Absolutely. Not just in 360 or MS articles either. Just about EVERY thread ends up with the same drooling morons talking the same mindless garbage.
The idea behind this site is rock solid. The users less so.
The PSN + service offers some nice features, but I think Live still wins because of it's integrated nature. It's the seamless way it operates and it's ease of use that makes it worthwhile. Party and cross-game chat, messaging and invites from anywhere at anytime, background downloading of every single thing etc, etc, etc.
It was designed that way from the ground up. PSN is doing a good job of trying to compete, but it's still playing catchup.
That is such an ignorant thing to say. You don't have to be a fan of Kinect to realise that the technology in it is far more advanced than the PS Eye.

The article headline is misleading and, given that most people here only read the headline, the article should be removed or retitled.

Well, if it doesn't detect wrist movement then it will probably never even know that N4G exists.
It's clear from the article that Lionhead are very keen to support Kinect, but that they plan to implement it properly with 'something special' not rush its implementation for the sake of it.
Get it? 'Not rushing' means 'doing it right'.

Kinect is going to work in about the same amount of space required for Move or Wii.

This is a concern. If it was coming for free Sony would've pumped it big during the keynote. It's a key feature that users have been asking for consistently for years.
If it's not in the paid version of PSN then I think there's a good chance that it isn't coming at all.
I think you may be right. There's a bunch of really good games coming but E3 is pretty low on innovation this year.

Let's face facts, 'Move' and 'Kinect' are all about sharking the Wii market. Benefits to players hardcore enough to use sites like N4G will be minimal or non-existent.
