I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I pre ordered BulletStorm epic edition just to get into this beta. Although BulletStorm looks sick as it is.
I remember back when the new consoles were about to be released and I saw Gears of War on the XBox 360 I knew I had to have it and I've never looked back. Such amazing games, especially when looked at against games in the previous gen. Gears was the first true next Gen experience for me and I'm glad it's continued on...
Gears and Mass Effect are heavy Hitters and Uncharted is getting there, but I don't see Exclusive titles chipping away at such a massive multiplatform game. Also, Gears will be out before the new COD, so much like Halo Reach was able to do very well, it didn't cut into B.O. and vice versa. Some of these games will be moved back or pushed forward, mark my words.
Not a hacker by any means, but if these games are available for free, why pay?
COD hasn't announced the next game yet, my best guess is some of these other "AAA" titles will push their games back to the following year.
The Call Of Duty franchise is too big, every year people say it will fail and every year it surpasses the previous years title. I wouldn't want to release my titles around the same time as COD. If you don't have the newest COD game, your NOTHING!
Actually this game doesn't look half bad. I hadn't thought about picking it up before, I might have to give it some serious consideration. Though I'll be playing BulletStorm and Dragon Age 2 by then, you can never have too many games.
Well all I can say is, I just went out and bought a 2 TB external HDD that will help me finally get some use out of my PS3. :)

COD4 was a masterpiece, but I didn't like the second one. It tried to appeal to too many different types of gamers.
MW3 isn't doomed, I saw the same types of articles with Black Ops. It'll sell like crazy, no matter what other games are released. Killzone 2 was released in Feb before MW2, didn't stop MW2 from selling 20+ million copies. Bottom line is COD offers different gameplay then most other shooters.

I like this new approach. I don't want to spend $600 or get a second job to be able to afford a new console every 4 or 5 years.
Even with new consoles it usually takes a year or two before we see any decent games. I'd much rather play on these consoles for another couple of years. The companies themselves probably prefer this long cycle as they make money with software, not hardware.
I still think there is plenty of juice to be had in this generation...
It'll sell as much or more then Black Ops because COD games come out every November. So each one is out exactly 1 year after the other.
I don't usually buy the DLC, though I might with B.O. because they give you extra Zombie maps. I'm sure the PS3 version will be playable, but probably wont be as good as the XBox 360 version, which is the normal thing really.

I'd prefer a Halo CE HD remake this year to be honest. Save Halo 4 for the launch of the next Xbox in a couple of years. Also to those not in the know, 343 studio's is mostly made up of former Original Bungie members, so it's not like they aren't familiar with Halo.
I do realize Microsoft wants a different Halo titles out each year, so I think a Halo CE HD remake with multiplayer this year would be fine, then next year maybe finally a Halo Wars 2, I loved the fir...
I'm not a try hard, I play through the game, beat the game and get whatever achievements that come with that.
I love my Achievements! It's a good way to show that you've actually beaten a game, where as in the past you had no real way to prove anything.
I actually find it difficult to play games that don't offer me some Gamerscore. Some games tick me off with the stinginess towards getting them though. I'd love for Nintendo to actually add in some sort of reward program for completing their games or doing certain things. Even if it's just for beating the game.
Mass Effect 2 was my favorite game...last year.
Also, while I'm glad even more gamers get to enjoy this game, it loses something with not being able to get to know the characters from Mass Effect 1.
I know they did the comic, but you really feel connection with these characters and your choices just are too important to leave up to a comic.
However, that being said, it's still worth picking up and playing. Bioware always does amazing work. ...
I don't think I'll let Sony decide what controller I'll use. seems like a huge disadvantage to play with the Move controller. Especially against a veteran online gamer.
I play a lot of Gamebattles and competitively, so I'd hate to handicap myself to be honest. It might be fun with the campaign mode, but online I'll stick with the Duel Shock 3.

I follow some porn stars on twitter, ones like Gianna Michaels, Sohphie Dee and Kelly Devine, they all play more "Core" titles, I see them talk about playing Black Ops and whatnot. I think IGN possibly went for some of the dumber Porn stars with this video.
Statistically speaking, The XBox 360 had it's best ever year in 2010. As I said, if you take $60 to a Gamestop you can probably get 7 or 8 titles, including Gears 1 & 2, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, Fable 2 ect... I mean that's quality no matter how you put it.
