To my knowledge, there haven't been any studies that conclusively show a definite causal link from playing CoD or GTA to violent behavior. The best we've seen is a correlation: violent video games and violent behavior tend to show up in the same place. I'm inclined to think that people with violent tendencies will probably gravitate towards violent games, which would explain the correlation.
Blame the mass media and Church Ladies for leading the general public to...
No need to kill them. Just draw a weapon, they tend to run when you do that. It worked on the minstrels in 2 and Brotherhood, too.
Of course, if they're really THAT annoying......
Where are FeiLong and the other Bruce Lee clones?
The Casting.... isn't that the Tech Demo that ultimately became Heavy Rain? Yeah... that woman in The Casting ended up being Lauren Winter.
Kara will eventually become a full game.... of some sort.
I'm going to agree with both of you.
It may not seem like much: polishing the graphics and maybe updating the controls. But that's a lot of code to deal with. And R* would have to find a way to fix it up and fit it all on one blu-ray or 360 DVD.
Maybe downloadable titles from the PS Store or Xbox live.
That's okay. Your opinion is your opinion. The fact that 9 people don't share your opinion doesn't make it any less valid.
They're there if you want them.
I'll tell you why the Dreamcast failed. It was that God awful controller. Looks like you could knock a guy's head clean off with that thing.
Nah. Only kidding. The author is probably right.
I would have been embarrassed to turn this in to my 9th grade English teacher. How does this sort of waste get approved?
No wonder Gaming Journalism is an object of ridicule.
Grand Theft Auto would be nice. I'd prefer the Liberty City from GTA4, however. The city in GTA3 was too small.
Never got around to playing the others, so I'm not picky either way.
A truly epic sentiment. XB
LOL @ Orange-Skittle.
Read it again. Note the extra M, and recognize that reapersson wasn't talking about Microsoft.
MSM = Main Stream Media
It was a dig at CBS
The last FPS I played was Doom, unless you count Portal 2. The first TPS I played was Red Faction Guerilla.
I know I always gravitate to KILL EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.
Give me stealth or kill me.
Guess it was fortuitous that I traded my copy of mgs4 when I did. I'd probably get less for it now.
I saw something about it on IGN. Don't know how true it is. You know how these sites are about indiscriminately posting rumors.
Huge news if it's true: SUNRISE!!
LOL. Clumsy religious faux-losophy.
I like this article.
It might be time to put the controller down when you get to be about 115.
Well, nuts. It's all Nintendo nuisances. I was hoping to see stuff from other consoles.
I get why. It's Nintendo's official magazine. Still a little disappointing. Would have been nice to see Roman Bellic or the rock monsters from X-men Origins. It is nice to see time limits and escort jobs in there.
I prefer stealth. I don't always get it right, but it is more fun than just charging in and killing everything.
It would be nice if more games made stealth gameplay an available option.
@sorceror
Bear with me here. This is some pretty hardcore logic.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a quad core cell phone.
This indicates that Samsung has made a cell phone CPU with four cores.
If something has already been done, then it's a foregone conclusion that it is, in fact, possible.
OK, ready? I'm about to make a leap. It's probably a little bigger than the baby steps you're used to.
If 4 cores can...
So WWII is too cliche but feudal Japan isn't?
The whole reason Assassin's Creed features Nizari Ismaili is that, as cool as they are, the Ninja have been Done To Death.
There are enough video games featuring at least one ninja that a list of them merits a separate wiki article. And, apparently, the cliche has progressed to the point that people think an Orange Jumpsuit is appropriate ninja attire (see Naruto).
