They also seem to not want to get on Fromsoft's bad side or undercut them in any way. I think it's completely up to FS. (which is kinda funny cause FS themselves makes weird moves with their games whenever it's not Miyazaki helming the project. ie DS2 and Nightreign)
I don't know one ounce of these sports teams, but yes, exactly like that.
You can't just find the RIGHT people. This kind of thing didn't exist yet. FROMSOFTWARE started something huge and you could never see it unless you happen to get someone who not only gets a gut instinct but also the will and authority to act on it. You can't look back from 2025, you have to see it in a 2009 landscape. And Demon's Souls didn't even hit big, it wasn't until Dark Souls that it all started hitting, shortly after it's release in 2011.
I mean I get it.
FromSoft was literally creating one of the largest influential splashes in modern videos games.
Every action game is now compared to them. They did something new, SONY didn't see it and didn't commit. I can't say I can blame them, you can't really predict something like that. There's plenty of projects that a company is confident in that just flop.
Are you pretending that's at all the article was saying? Or are you trying to push this narrative in some way to make Sony employees look desperate?
yeah, makes sense after everyone flipped out at how long (short) the first game is.
22 dollars!
I'm also still hoping to see that game again. Looked really cool.
With the technical knowledge they have at CDPR I'm sure there's a TON of work being done on the Engine to really make it into what they want from it.
YES YES YES
Astro Bot is a lesson.
You can't make every game a massive 5+ year gamble. We need smaller games to fill voids and to develop personality for the system.
Shuhei recently said that the remasters are there to fund larger projects but small games can do that too.
It's the same strategy Nintendo has held. Most their teams are around 60 people and they always have gameplay first. They get to try a lot of things, have the time and resources to...
They're looking pretty close on my 4k monitor too
I'm looking forward to it but if it's more than $70 I can wait.
We'll see a new Headset before a new Deck.
It's been 4 full years and it's still a little annoying to navigate the Dashboard, it's a step back from the PS4 by far.
On PS4 you can double tap to go back and forth between the Dash and your game. On PS5 a double tap brings up an irrelevant card, on PS5 you MUST navigate back to the app icon on the Dash or you the 'quick' menus switcher, both require navigation and multiple button presses.
This also includes the headache of powering down the system.

vile
I would pay money to unlock an emulator without question, even if I didn't use it often.
>:( come on Sony. Give us the goods.
For how inFamously difficult the PS3 was to program for the RPCS3 emulator is shockingly well made running nearly every game near perfectly and with enhanced rendering. (sorry for the way I'm writing, literally listening to Digital Foundry rn)
I guess this is good for someone but I found the choices REALLY strong in the games. They also don't really matter for any large multi-game plots so I don't see the issue. Maybe it's a little different in Shadows. At least in the past tho all that mattered in canon is the male or female choice being "Canon" and even then it really doesn't come up enough to actually matter. Just enjoy the games how you want to, they honestly give the player a ton of options in these g...
Dark Souls 2, Darksiders 2, Dead Space 2, Death Stranding 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2
What would make it Demon's Souls 2 and not feel like another Dark Souls? Genuinely curious.
