That the X1 is 1080p doesn't mean is the same version as PS4. There are other games out there where PS4 and X1 are the same resolution and still the PS4 version is superior with many other effects, lighting and weather effects not found on the X1.
Also, after playing the beta and hearing about the Ubisosoft embargo once again, I cancelled my pre order.

I believe the problem lies in the development life cycle as today's practice is towards Agile methodology where you must develop as fast as you can and at least deploy a product that while may no be complete, it still may bring value and then you can keep updating it.
Dates are aggressive and the pressure these developers have is enormous. Quality is damaged this way.
I don't know how that guy dares to make that excuse when the PS4 is clearly thin, small and doesn't has heat problems and oh, it does not has a power brick.
The X1 has an horrible and bulky design, period. There are no excuses.
