Outside of places like this no one really cares that much. Anyone with some common sense knows it ain't happening. Nintendo's investors would never go for it, and regulators would never approve it. No console manufacturer will be able to buy another. Even if MS were to go software-only, with Bethesda and ABK they'd be way too big to allow that purchase.
The most we'll likely see is further collaboration between the two. Maybe a bespoke version of Game Pass t...
That's Sony's fault. Just look at the official product page.
"Play your PS5 console over your home Wi-Fi with console quality controls using PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player."
Every time they mention Wi-Fi they specify "home Wi-Fi". The only place that mentions you can use any Wi-Fi is the FAQ at the bottom of the page. This should have been clearly communicated as one of the key features.
Dude. If they really wanted to strong-arm Nintendo into an acquisition they would have already done so before acquiring Bethesda and Activision. Nintendo's investors won't even go for it, and after ABK no regulator would let them get Nintendo.
Where are you getting that he wants to "strong-arm" Nintendo? He said he doesn't want to do a hostile takeover and would want any potential merger to be "mutually agreeable". I absolutely do not want them to buy Nintendo but I don't agree that he's trying to "strong-arm" them. It'll never happen anyway, Nintendo's investors would never go for it.
You're looking at the mobile controllers. There is an actual handheld there too.
True, though having that feedback they could have made him much more interesting in MGSR. It would have taken place after everything that happened in MGS2, so he would have been suffering from PTSD, his separation from Rose, etc. He would likely have been much less whiny by that point.
The only part of the story that hasn't been explored is what the original Metal Gear Solid: Rising would have been. In the MGS app on PS3 there was an entry added about Raiden infiltrating Area 51 with Big Mama to save Sunny. Raiden gets captured by the Patriots and turned into a cyborg before MGS4. That plot could have made for an excellent game.
They were doing some cool stuff with Oculus like Stormland. They have the experience to make great VR games. They have multiple teams, there's no reason a small team couldn't be dedicated to VR projects.
Ah, SkillUp didn't get one? That's surprising. He usually puts out some very comprehensive reviews. Not quite as good as ACG but I do like to see what he thinks of a game. I guess because he's a YouTuber sites just don't count him because he isn't technically an outlet. Weird either way.
@RauLeCreuset
Because it doesn't make any sense. Why would one specific region be blocked? I've never gotten the impression that UK outlets are historic...
Agreed. The closest thing was Test Drive Unlimited though that had been gone for so many years. Thankfully a new one is coming out though it's from a different team.
Australian? Are you sure? I'm asking because I'm looking at a bunch of reports right now and they all say it's exclusively UK-based outlets. Even Pure Xbox didn't get a code on time. Which one was Australian?
Why is it bad for a game to let you play how you want? How is that suddenly a bad thing?
It was only UK outlets, right? Doesn't really come across as cherry picking. I'm curious what the reason behind it is. I know they have the acquisition going on in the UK but I don't know how that would affect reviews.
Yeah the cockpit view is usually far too narrow in racing games. I remember the one in NFS Shift being pretty much perfect though.
@Deus
Agreed.
@Frampt
No one said it did.
@Charlie
A bit irrelevant considering Profchaos specifically mentioned "day 1 player base". Typically game sales are only ever reported as sold through.
Bethesda "shipped" 12 million copies of Fallout 4 for launch day. Shipped does not equal bought.
Wow I never even thought of trying that. It makes sense though.
Damn. I was hoping it was the original open world F&F game that was cancelled. That game actually sounded cool. This is just an Xbox version of the Tokyo Drift game. Still cool to see though.
Why do the release dates even matter? He didn't say it was first. He said there are things/aspects from the franchise that were ahead of its time.
