I hope Kojima has a good sense of humour because the trailer they did for this was so laughably bad in comparison to the trailers Kojima put out for MGS over the years. Still at £30, if you haven't already, it's well worth the price for what will almost certainly be the last great Metal Gear game.

Almost goes without saying tbh, they'll release episodes on the current gen systems then do an ultimate collection for next gen, would be a very Square Enix like move.

And it's because it's so linear that it gets the shit that it does, It's like one giant corridor with mobs placed to pad out the experience and this makes up the majority of the game. The story was fairly good and once you learn more about the characters, they are indeed fairly good too but ultimately doesn't change the fact that it's one of the worst designed FF numbered games in history and left many long term fans unhappy.

Makes a lot of sense, 343 had a fair few struggles when they took over the Halo series which they've learned a lot from (and it shown with Halo 5) so it's only natural that The Coalition would learn a lot from them considering they're in a fairly similar position.

I'd be excited if Nintendo could nail the hybrid console and honestly think it's their best move, merging their Wii and DS brands and allowing their developers to all focus their efforts on a single platform would make logical sense. However as you questioned, it doesn't sound very plausible.

Does it really need many new elements though? Gears by default is such a unique beast (MP at least) that just having more of the same feels fresh and interesting.. Judgement tried to make things fresh and interesting and we all know how that turned out.

So they held a "Diversity" panel where all the panelists are black? That's not a very diverse panel is it?

"what if MW remaster was $29.99 or even $39.99 than the same people would be complaining about that"

How so? The majority of the complainers are the ones crying out for a standalone version, I'd happily pay $30/$40 for COD 4 remaster on it's own.

It just shows how laughably pathetic they are and their complete lack of confidence in their own product.. can't say I blame them though, after Ghosts they'd have to pay me to play IW's next COD game.. well that or offer me something I couldn't resist, like say a remaster of one of the best COD games. Hopefully by the time it comes out I'll be too busy with other games to even give it a glancing look.

Isn't it about time that developers/console makers (not really sure whose responsibility it is) come up with a way to allow people to just download and delete specific elements of a game? 130gb for example, imagine a halo 5 fan with that stuck on a 500gb hdd, that's over half the space gone on just two/three games yet for many of us, we only play MP or SP etc, seems like a huge waste of space keeping say the COD campaign on your HDD when all you want to do is play MP. With the size o...

I'd say him accusing websites of lowering the score for hits was the hilarious bit but that's more facepalm than funny imho. Probably accurate and true but it's not really something the head of a gaming department for a big firm like Microsoft should be saying.

First and second points are musts if Capcom what SF5 to survive. Bigger roster for sure.. no Sagat or Akuma who are both big names and should have been in the base roster..

Meta definitely needs to evolve, watching some Ultra footage and it just looks like so much more fun.. comparing Ai Ai's Juri in both games and it shows just how bad of a place SF5 is (not to mention the unnecessary need to completely change up a character's style)

Assuming the...

It's not really a fair comparison, Halo was a series that many felt needed modernising and trying to get that right without compromising the Halo feel was always going to be a huge challenge. Gears is unique that there still isn't really any other shooter out there remotely like it, sure some have tried utilising the cover mechanics but ultimately none have come close to capturing what makes Gears great. Coalition had a far easier job as they could play it safe and it'd still be a...

Highly unlikely.. as much as I enjoy Ubisoft games, none of their open world games have really captivated me in the same way as say Witcher 3, GTA 5, Skyrim did etc. Not to take anything away from Wildlands as it's looking like a day one purchase for me but Ubi's open world games just lack the soul that the heavy hitters have.

Shows how much faith they have in Infinite Warfare.. I was planning on buying the legacy edition, getting my COD 4 remaster then selling on the new one as I have no interest in COD in it's current form, must be a fair few others who were thinking of doing the same.

I'd say no, I used to play all the gory games as a teenager and have seen lots of horror films but RL is completely different. I've seen clips of executions, tragic accidents etc and they still got to me pretty badly. I remember someone showing me a snuff clip of a man being decapitated up close.. that was 11 years ago and still to this day I can remember it so vividly and just thinking about it creeps me out. Now I'm sure others are less sensitive than me but those who are truly...

Failed to pull me back in,the short story was decent and had it's moments but ultimately it just feels like a cash grab to me, the majority of time spent was doing the same repetitive tasks that have been available since launch. I'm sure those who haven't grown bored of Destiny will love it but for the rest of us, there is nothing here that will drag you back in the same way that TTK managed to do. While value is subjective, there is absolutely nothing here to justify it costing o...

I read somewhere that this game only has 4 different levels, can anyone confirm or deny whether this is true? This game looks amazing but full price game for only 4 maps is a very steep price.

3180d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

The game can be bought for less than a pint of beer these days, if you're a JRPG fan, it's a must play.. closest thing to a proper FF game last generation, definitely more so than corridor fantasy 13 anyway.

Well in future they could try just buying the disc based version or is the thought of getting up and changing discs just that scary for them?
