Amazing.
7.0 mbps downloads..
I'm at 7%...
I started at 4
it's now 9...
At least it'll be fixed by next week =/
That was so well written and that is pretty intimidating IMO.. then again I'm not a big company like BBC lol.
That was a 2660 word beat down.. damn lol.
Sigh.. that's saddening. That's like the pinnacle part of the GT series.. and to take that out for 800 cars is a mistake.. =/ oh well.
First console game with ray tracing =P.
Anyway, price?
It's just the library they have compiled. It is actually programmed specifically for the Cell now. Allowing heavier loads, but the actual calculations, they have already been used before. I would have like to seen the water physics and soft body physics though, which they didn't show case (nor any other consoles has, of yet). Anyway, all the stuff in the videos have been done in Force Unleashed. I can't wait to see what new stuff they can do.
That that won't be reached any time soon. Creating a life like AI (even for actions in a video game) requires something beyond basic programming. It actually needs to learn. And to actually learn, it needs a lot of power and storage, and to have that, you basically need the fastest and largest things possible. Computer Science professors will say "It's impossible" and I think it is. You may be able to get close to it, but it's impossible to make an AI that constantly learns and grow...
I'll wait a year probably. See how much they improve the tech and how much price will dorp by then. DX 11 will be far past its birth by then, but still plenty of years before any sort of DX12 comes out.
And not like the second. It'll be a great game though.
Wow, Sony, you usually floor me with your top notch commercials and ads, but this one takes the cake. It seemed so low budget, lmao. Anyway, i can't wait until next year =D. I'm saving up 1500 for a 42 inch 240hz bravia =D!!!
... Obama is saying "stop playing video games all day"... I certainly didn't get to college by playing games all day every day, and playing VG's is my past time hobby.
I think it's funny how people who hate Obama just like to pick and choose what he's saying, when he's not saying video games are bad. He just says don't play them all day. After all, he says he likes his Nintendo Wii.
That's what I'm saying. Yes, the consoles are impressive, but they lack the power to continue the type of technical achievements while having motion control. Here is an example:
Killzone 2 with motion control. Adding the motion controls would take some overhead (as you already stated). So in this regards, the PS3 lacks the power to handle both of them simultaneously. I'm not saying they lack power in general, but they don't have enough power to do both.
Like running ...
I concur. I would really want to know why they didn't include those things? I'm sure they could have. Also, yes, the lighting is better.
Yeah, you are right.. GTX 260 is the best bang for you buck (not the best GPU) and pretty much the same for the Q6600.. but either way, I can still play all the new games at the highest settings, so I don't see what's wrong with it. Especially when I'm working with a student budget.
It just looks like Rollcage to me... going upside down and stuff. Personally the physics of Rollcage looks better. I hope Liverpool Studios makes a Rollcage HD.. that was my favorite arcade racer on the PS1 (more so than wipeout)
That quote is one of the major reasons why GT has never done damage. Forza is the only one pretty much "breaking the rules" unless they are putting money down on those features. Both PD and SMS have said that manufacturers didn't like their cars busted up. EVEN GREENWALT HAS SAID FERRARI HATED THE IDEA OF THEIR CARS GETTING SMASHED.
"No, PD is just lazy." Yep. Lazy.
Soo.. me being able to run Crysis on full settings isn't good enough for you? My case is the only good part? You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Even a quick google search would have shown that those are top notch...
That's pretty much the exact same thing. The type of PC's Z-Cam was being used on are top quality. Certainly over the strength of the PS3/360, so it would have been their for either console. That processor in there is to make sure the console didn't get bogged down. Trying to run a game like gears + natal - processor inside natal = chug. That is lack of power from the main console. Kind of like Star Fox for SNES. The microchip inside the Star Fox cartridge was powerful enough to render the ga...
The processor inside Natal. Well and mic.. but that's irrelevant for motion tracking. Z-Cam uses both a RGB and IR cam to detect depth/motion. So in a sense it's exactly the same. The processor makes up for a lack of power inside what it will be connected to. In this case the 360 (because the Z-Cam was connected to a PC.. which has TONS more power).
Probably 99% less action as well. It'll probably feel like it atleast.
