It'll be fixed. I've actually done something.. "similar" for one of my programs.
Since updates don't require a login from PSN (in fact you SIGN OUT from PSN when you update) all they need to do is finish the patch code and send it out.
Sadly this wont be seen on consoles and in games for quite some time. This technique involves ray tracing the light source which is a hefty process. Thankfully it's not as much of a resource hog as ray tracing reflections.
Waaaay too much like Max Payne first level "Is anybody home?" With the exact same (but more wooded) stairs. lol. Still want to play this game though...
...that the leaves are actually polygons. Sprites, especially stationary ones (like leaves/grass) don't take NEARLY as much power to render as polygons. It's like making a model environment where the tree trunks are pencils (or some other stick) and the leaves are giant paper cut outs with leaves colored on them versus actually modeling every single leaf with clay.
In all factuality, KZ2 renders more polygons that Alan Wake ever will, BUT that isn't to say it won't have to render...
Trees/shrubs make up the majority of the graphics with the use of sprites... and since that sort of thing overlap visually nice smooth edges would help make the game look better, but I wonder if it's at the cost of not AAing actually polygons...
Where is the "Hello World?" code? If you can't get it to output simple text, you can't get it to do anything else. Fact. I may not know the code and architectural structures to hack a system but I know the concepts of coding. I don't think he actually has anything useful yet.
It's broken on so many levels.
Have I pirated music? Yes. Have I pirated games? Yes.
Have I stopped? Yes.
Hell I'm broke half the time, but if I really want something I respect the artist/developer and buy it.
There are some games with DRM that are just broken and you'll need a crack for it, but you own the game so that's ok. Otherwise, it's not.
They get no money from used game sales. So someone buys it cheaper, BUT pay a fee to play it online so they still get SOME revenue. It also prevents piracy, which I'm sure some of you guys do. Since they can't play online without a code, it prevents the piracy.
It's a patent for a new encryption design. Basically it's a "brute force" protection... but decryption can be done with less steps, but only if you know two encrypt.. It's hard to explain..
Regardless, you guys missed the reason for this whole news article.
EDIT: I see a few guys that can read. Glad to see that not everyone just reads the headlines alone. =]
Congrats =P.
Still looks great. Though I was hoping for an actual "trailer" =/.
I really can't wait anymore... I can only play prologue for so long till I yearn for things like Rally, GT cars, etc etc... Man I really want to tune a car though.
Usually satires are funny. This wasn't.
Come on D=.
That sucks so much.
This would be great for my rendering times. Sadly like the article says, no i7 is supported, which is a GREAT piece of hardware. I can only dream of owning this though.
I am NOT poking my PS3 while it's on. You have to poke it after you compile the kernel and run it under linux. It'll tell you to "press the button" then you poke the chip with a screw driver in the spot indicated in the picture. It'll break the circuit long enough for the hack to completely get through the security.
Not GT3...
Beach volleyball sequel for PSP? Really??
B)
^sunglasses smiley.
That's absolute bullcrap. All my friends with Slims are fine, hell even my friend with an 80gig MGS Emulated BC one still works. I have a 40.. I have yet to check if mine is ok.
