I will cry tears of happiness if this is true.
I'm saying it's not even close to overrated because when people talk about it being the best game of this generation, they're at least in the right ballpark. Yes, I know TLOU will not cure cancer.
Not even close to overrated. I don't know that it's necessarily THE game of this generation since so much of that is going to be subjective and vary from one person to the next, but I'm pretty comfortable saying that it's my personal GOTG.
It basically comes down to TLOU vs. Demon's Souls for me.
Thanks for the heads up so I know not to bother clicking the link.
So what you're saying is that Xbone can't even outperform a PS3 game?
Yes, I would have been willing to pay more for a 1 TB HD.
It's not Cerny's fault that Microsoft spent their launch event marketing the Xbone as a tv box. If you don't want people to talk about the Xbone that way, your beef is really with Microsoft, not Cerny.
One of the things I love about this franchise is the way the developers pretty much give gamers a choice to either play the game the way it was meant to be played, or don't play it at all. I'm staunchly opposed to a difficulty choice in this game for that reason. I don't want From to sell out casuals.
I distinctly remember nudity and sex in God of War and Red Dead Redemption. Not sure why Ryse needs to be censored.
Edit: In the US versions, I mean.
Of course it would be a "win" for Sony. People who own PS4s get another game to play that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Duh.
Agreed. No way is this true. This sounds like something from The Onion.
Kinect is indirectly responsible. Microsoft had to skimp on hardware to include Kinect and keep the price point to within $100 of Sony. Remove Kinect and Microsoft could have matched Sony on specs.
"But yet, we’re stuck with the 720p/1080p arguments, which from a distance seen by the average consumer might seem to be a minor issue,"
This is asinine. There is a big difference between 720p and 1080p. Anybody who has ever watched a Blu-ray on a 1080p television instantly notices the difference. It is not some tiny, obscure quirk in picture quality -- it is major and instantly recognizable.
Agreed. Hopefully developers are eventually able to figure out the Xbone and get their games to run on it as well as they run on the PS4. But since I won't be buying a 'bone anyway, it won't affect me regardless.
1. Better hardware.
2. Superior versions of multiplats.
3. The exclusives aren't there right now, but you know they'll be there eventually.
4. $100 cheaper.
5. No need for a fifth reason. The first four were overkill.
Yeah, but in fairness, that extra $100 gives Xbox One owners access to a huge library of Kinect titles. If you're into fitness games, on-rails games that require flailing your arms around to win, and pet simulators, the Xbox One is pretty clearly the better choice.
PS4 owners will just have to content themselves with superior versions of multiplats and a boatload of first party AAA exclusives.
I can't wait for the PS4/Xbone COD comparison videos. I'm not buying COD anyway, but the threads are going to be epic.
I was all excited about 1080p gaming, Killzone, Driveclub, infamous, and whatever great stuff Naughty Dog is working on. But not being able to use my Blu-ray remote is a deal-breaker.
Preorder cancelled.
Not sure if they planned it this way, but Microsoft is doing it right by "saving" Titanfall until spring, when it doesn't have to go head-to-head against COD and BF.
If I were Sony, I would have flip-flopped infamous and Killzone. I know development schedules drive some of these release dates, but KZ at launch doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Yeah, my PS4 arrives tomorrow, but I'm counting on Battlefield and indies like Resogun to hold me over until DriveClub, infamous, and The Order drop next year.
