Haven't played Titanfall so I can't comment on that one, but I'm loving inFamous. I'm about 2/3 of the way through my second playthrough (evil, expert) and should have the platinum in a couple of days.
It's not the greatest game ever made, but it's very good and not mediocre at all. I'd give it an 8 or 8.5.
This kind of policy worked just fine when Microsoft was the sales leader. Now that they're trailing, this just encourages indie developers to go PSN-only. If you have a limited development budget and the industry leader makes it easy for you to publish with them while the second place guy makes you jump through (costly) hoops, why not just stick with the bigger publisher?
My guess is that Microsoft ends up abandoning this policy next year sometime unless they somehow ma...
No idea why Blizzard doesn't get this out now while there's a drought of next-gen games. I would buy a PS4 version of Diablo III tomorrow, but I might pass completely if they wait until fall. They're costing themselves potential sales with this delay.
It's a super-hero game that deliberately avoids "shades of grey" moral ambiguity. By the end of the game, you're supposed to be a true hero or a true villain. There's nothing wrong with that -- its the story (stories) the developers chose to tell.
I know what you mean about puddles -- Delsin runs right through them without so much as a splash. But hey, it's a launch-window title. If Sucker Punch can make this pretty of a game under a tight deadline, I'm giddy to see what Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, and Polyphony can do with the same hardware and more time.
I'm on PS4 so I won't be playing this game anyway, but come on. People buy online shooters for the MP, not SP. A multiplayer-only shooter is more like 98% of a game, not half a game.
Good advice. I'm not buying the game. Okay if I complain now?
Kojima can go screw himself.
Disagree. Xbone sales for infamous are going to be nowhere near Titanfall levels.
Agreed, but you can certainly compare sales.
It sounds like Microsoft decided to stop shooting itself in the foot. Good for them.
A whole point better than The Last of Us. Game of All Time confirmed.
Meh. Microsoft can keep this one. I'd rather play a semi-broken Battlefield than Titanfall 2.
Never has such a mediocre franchise been milked so relentlessly.
Agreed. Also, the PS4 was still pretty supply-constrained in February, unlike its competitor. I'm genuinely surprised that it "won" the month in North America.
Microsoft knows that they released an under-powered machine this time. They're going to be looking to hit the "restart" button and move to the next gen as soon as feasible. No way does this console last more than 5-6 years.
Yeah, when I'm shopping for a primary console, I clearly want the one that offers inferior versions of multiplats.
Agreed. Both consoles are selling extremely well by historical standards. The argument about teh salez was stupid last gen and it's stupid this gen. I'll take games over sales any day.
(I say that as a PS4 owner who has almost no interest in the xbone. But if people prefer the bone, why should I care?)
Personally, I've found PS+ on PS4 to be better than I expected. Nobody could have realistically expected Sony to hand out brand new $60 next-gen AAA games for free right out of the gate. (DriveClub would have been an exception, but the PS+ version was going to be at least a little stripped down).
The monthly indie games have been a nice way to cover the drought IMO. Resogun, Don't Starve, and Outlast were all really good. I'd played Dead Nation before, but it ...
Yep. I downloaded it but never got around to playing it. Now that I've moved on to the PS4, I probably never will.
