I think I'm the only FPS-lover in the world who thought COD4'S multiplayer was boring after a short while.
The single player was excellent, and I didn't care how short it was, but the multiplayer was boring after a couple of weeks. Everything in it had been done before in other games, and done better.
Bad Company is a way better multiplayer game. It beats the pants off of every single FPS on any console out there.
In other words, COD5 has a great chance...
Japanese like shooters. Number two PS3 game is Bad Company last week. Stop spreading lies.
And I have zero trophies, and I've only bought Elefunk and a couple of Top Gear Episodes from GT5:Prologue when they were cheap. I don't think it has anything to do with either play time or money spent. It's random.

Instead of parroting what other people have told you, I suggest you actually look at the figures. COD4 was, and maybe still is, in the PS3 top five for at least 4 months. Battlefield is hugely popular.

Just look at the sales figures. FPSs are almost as popular in Japan as they are elsewhere.
Nonono. It was really a conglomerate of oppressiveness. The English, Austrians, Germans, Russians, etc., were all pretty equally responsible for WWI, the stupidest war in history. Anyway France were the oppressors about 50 years before. Germany didn't become the real oppressors until WWII.
I'm getting this game for sure. This game is what Blazing Angels wishes it was.
I'm with the others. I'd like a demo before I buy it. I want to see if the hype is just hype, or if it really is that good a game.
No offence meant, I was just going by population. Australia has a tiny population, so I assumed the market was just as small.
Anyway, it was just a thought. I didn't know if Japan/Mainland Asia/Australia were related or not, but considering the huge population difference I thought it likely that we'd get the game at about the same time.
I don't know if I can support an FPS that doesn't have something new for me. Not just fun, but new.
This game will be new, for me at least, so I'll be definitely getting it. I don't remember the last FPS map editor I had, and I've never had a console with one. I'm very happy this game is coming.
I know, I just mean in terms of general release dates. Japan tends to get the FPSs ages after everyone else. Bad Company isn't out until this week, for example.
I was just hoping that if a market as small as Australia is going to Far Cry in October, then hopefully Japan will get it at about the same time.
Maybe Asia will get it at the same time then. This and Bad Company are the only two games I've really looked forward to.
And here I thought that MGO sucked, and the reasons to play the PS3 came from other, better-planned, better-connected games.
I like MGS4 a lot. But I seriously dislike 3rd person shooters, and I especially dislike MGO. It's a mess.
Sorry devs, I'm an IL-2 Sturmovik kinda guy. I don't want 3rd person crap, I want 1st person crap. This game looks stupid.
COD4 was basically what Battlefield: Modern Combat should have been. Great game, but nothing revolutionary. It just properly brought the PC FPS to consoles.
COD5 should be a great continuation of that.

This has nothing to do with gun laws, but it might have to do with US gun culture. Look at Switzerland, Canada, and Norway as examples of countries with high gun ownership and low accident/murder rates. Why does the US have a problem? I don't know.
It sucks, but it really is this kid's parents' fault. The gun should have been locked up, and unloaded.
