Australia is the perfect testing ground; a "western" country, but so far away for the rest of the western world to think it will affect them.
Who is in office has hardly ever made any change, people really need to stop ignoring their own responsibility by saying "the politicians will sort it out", because they won't.

I guess this guy would have a heart attack if someone told him about ventrilo, skype, teamspeak etc. that has been used for ages in PC gaming.
Edit: I might add that people could easily use said programs on their PC with wireless headsets while playing console games.
Personal opinions are still legal, although in rapid decline by the looks of it. Just be glad "doing what everyone else does" isn't (completely) mandate yet.
Considering how many seems to think graphics are the be all and end all nowadays, I'd say that's pretty much what they are trying to do.
Probably won't work since graphics are just the wrapping; worthless without the content, but oh well.
I'm not quite sure it's all because of Haze, seeing as Lucasarts is involved in this whole mess. Lucasarts has basically been like a huge wrecking-ball to mostly everything they've touched for a while now.
They wouldn't be fanboys otherwise, would they now?
Fanboys pretty much by definition spend more time on the "opposition" than on whatever they allegedly are fans of.
Definitely not necessary, nor a "side-effect".
Fanboys very much feed the good old "no such thing as bad PR", and are actively encouraged and supported by the industry.
A very direct comparison would be die-hard sport fans, which coincidently only seem to appear when there is big money involved in said sports (not for the fans though, but the industry). Curious, isn't it?
There is no difference, 2 sides of the same coin.
For anyone even remotely considering trying the ten day trial: don't.
It's like a devil's contract; seems harmless, but you'll end up losing your soul (get addicted to wow again).
Fell for it when TBC came out, it's very cleverly done with the levelling restriction and such, Blizzard definitely are at the top of the getting people addicted game.
True as long as the DLC is not something that is already part of the game, like the Yoda and Darth Vader in SC4 etc.
Also, there seems to be a much bigger focus on DLC (hardly ever free) than on patches (must be free), which is not good either.
Personally, I think any labelling of people is diminishing, people are not their jobs, hobbies, etc, it just happens to be their current situation, which they tend to get stuck in due to that very labelling.
That said, in our society where labelling is so wide spread, someone who plays a lot of games is as much a "gamer" as someone who plays football is a football player. Then there's people who only play a bit now and then, which don't fall into those categories, becau...
Wrong.
And unfortunately your obvious sarcasm blatantly translates into an unneeded flamebait in the gamerzone.
I just don't get the whole "your hardware choice is inferior so therefore I don't like you". It's like mocking crippled people; cruel, unproductive and just completely pointless.
Fans of the respective consoles should be complaining to their respective producer when there are faults with the consoles, instead of throwing faeces at the...
Actually, mouth-breathing is very much "medical".
Breathing (in) through the mouth has several severe drawbacks, such as the oxygen not being heated before it reaches the lungs and there being no "filter" for unwanted substances. Unlike when breathing in through the nose, which both warms the oxygen and acts as a rather effective filter due to nostril hairs and whatnot. Mouth-breathing is a major cause of disease.

I'd really love to see some proper Zelda and Starcraft movies.
Zelda should be a given to pretty much any gamer, Starcraft just has such an great setting thanks to Blizzard being so awesome at what they do, not just the games themselves, but the lore surrounding them as well.
I think it will fail, not despite of being terminator, but because of it.
The real terminator movies, directed by James Cameron, ended with the second movie, which had a very definite ending in the director's cut. The third movie was pure milking, just like games based on movies are.
It's funny because it's true.
Or so one might imagine from reading some of the stuff here on N4G.
A minor spoiler from a 60 year old book and 7 year old movie as popular as LotR is rather harmless I thought, but point taken, spoilers are bad.
My thoughts exactly.
One could even argue that music generally plays a huge factor in the movie scenes that make people cry, so without the music people would hardly ever cry from movies either.
It's usually not one single thing, but the whole put together that makes the scenes dramatic. Like even fight scenes, which can make people cry, not because of the actual fighting, but the premise of the fight, like in LotR when Boromir dies for example.
Sure the...

You don't have to compare it to using a phone, read my previous comment (1.5).
