It says gamers, not fanboys. Proper fanboys (to me, there is a big difference between fan and fanboy) probably enjoy review scores and metacritic averages more than the actual games.
Also, the PS3 doesn't need "that one game", it has plenty of great games, it's basically just the price holding it back.
I doubt you will be able to keep your gear and stats, you will most likely start at level 1 again, but with spectre training and such taken into account.
My guess would be that you meet an NPC who asks you certain questions about events in ME1, and your answers decide who is alive and whatnot in ME2 if you start a new game, or those answer are pre-defined if you load up a save-game. Sort of like in KOTOR 2.
@1.1 Those branched out classes already exist; Infiltrator ...
This comes to mind.
It's quite simple I believe, there is a lot of money and power invested in murder (read: wars), while rape... not so much. Even sex, or just nudity, is generally considered worse than murder as far as movie/game ratings are concerned.
I knew a kid once who judged the quality of movies based on how many people were killed in it. The more, the better. As much as everyone dislikes the word "desensitize", especially in gaming context, it is not a completely fictional thing....
I think Halo Wars will do well as a console RTS, but non of those 5 reasons are really very convincing, especially considering that PC is by no means lacking great RTS games.
Hm, how did that "OR" sneak in there, those things are not mutually exclusive.
Things don't have to be either "generic label 1" or "generic label 2", they are the sum of both (and everything else they happen to be).
I hope for your sake that you already work for Sony, because if you are doing this for free... well, let's just say you should reconsider some aspects of your life. You are also very off-topic, seeing as this article has nothing to do with upcoming games, Killzone 2 or otherwise.
On topic, hits-farming like this, where three short articles which can easily be done as one three-page article really should be considered spam and only posted once it's complete, if at all.
I have to agree with this, forced multiplayer can really hurt a game. Besides the obvious stretch of resources, the core game play mechanics could suffer greatly in order to be balanced enough for multiplayer. Just imagine Max Payne without bullet-time (which would obviously not work in multiplayer).
I'm all for multiplayer, just not in games that are inherently singleplayer. Unless it's specifically tailored co-op, where the players only need to be balanced against the AI.
Excitement pretty much automatically turns into hype when it gets excessively expressed, as often seen here on N4G.
Personally, I'd be happy if all the PR guys got sacked and the resources got used on actually making the gamer better. Unfortunately perception trumps reality in the real world.
Perhaps I'm completely misunderstanding here, but wait for what? This DLC is already released.
Yes, I could call all those things for toys, since their primary use is amusement/pastime.
Since when did toys become a bad thing anyway? Seems like people are insulted by the idea that they play with toys. But by all means, call it by another name if it makes you feel more comfortable.
That adults cannot play with toys is such a forced and false notion, adults don't automatically cease to be playful like children. Well, not naturally anyway.
All gaming consoles are by definition toys. Something that's forgotten all too often around here I might add.
If your squad leader freezes up, it's more likely due to fear/adrenaline than lack of theoretical skills. No-risk simulations will probably make people more careless than anything.
And if you want to believe in the whole "war on terror", that's your choice, but please don't try to justify it for others with what-if scenarios like "it could happen to you", that is all to well used propaganda. Also, consider that "the news" are privately owned mega-cor...
Fear, fatigue and real experience affect those things on a far greater scale than the ability to point and click on the right targets.
Also, you are more probably more likely to make a real mistake if you take the simulation for granted and think "it's just as easy as in the simulator".
A pilot simulator is more valid since a plane is practically a computer.
Ah, just what the world needs, more kids being taught that killing real people is just like a video game.
"Join the army, play video games. Then kill people just like in the games!"
I guess they are desperate, people are getting tired of killing each other in the name of false ideals.
Words and terms have all but lost any meaning they once might have had. They have been diminished to marketing, all about how you sell them.
People need to look beyond the words and terms, and see the intentions behind them.
Feeding people with junk food is a crime against humanity. Quit your job.
Did I just make a wild assumption about your life? Guess I did.
Primitive perhaps, but clever.
Judging from people's reception of the demo, they will need to work hard to sell this game well. Fancy flash and touched up videos/screenshots will probably help though, seeing as how everyone is obsessed with graphics nowadays.

I really don't understand why normal is considered the best thing since... whatever the last best thing was.
The very word "normal" means average, mediocre, bland... a clone if you will. No person is by nature normal, it's just an insane idea people subscribe to. For normal to have any redeeming quality, the norms would have to be at least somewhat admirable, which I doubt anyone with any sincerity can claim is ...
Smart move from Rockstar, the controversy this is surely to cause will give the DLC a lot of publicity. No such thing as bad PR, right?
The media will really be grasping for straws if they try to pin this as another "hot coffee", it's so blatant, yet so harmless at the same time .
