Nice! It's a shame that it has to be on the dumbest common denominator on the Quest though. I use a Quest2, but would much prefer being able to max out the graphics on Steam. I'm not looking to upgrade to a Quest3 at the moment.

What's great about this is that these titles were never previously discussed, they just sort of came out of left field. I loved the Extreme G series back in the day. They were just beneath Wipeout and FZero, but still really good.

I think Japan would be a great departure from what we've had before, and makes sense with what happened in Hiroshima & Nagasaki. It would be interesting to explore an alternate history, imagining what Japanese technology had evolved into in a retro post-apocalyptic world vs what Japanese tech actually looks like today in the real world.

Them: "We've figured out a way to squeeze you of more money, come on let us stick it in."
Us: "No."
Them: "Please! just the tip."
Us: "That's how it always starts."

Yes, this and also finishing part 1 of the Final Fantasy Remake trilogy weighs heavily on it too. There's always a huge percentage of gamers who never finish the games they purchase. It's not always due to lack of enjoyment, but also life priorities etc. But factor that into the knowledge that Rebirth is a straight continuation of the story, and enjoyment lies heavily on having finished the first, you can begin to understand why not as many players jumped in. But absolutely too, the l...

I agree that Starhawk shouldn't be above Warhawk, however I must say that Starhawk multiplayer was incredible for its time! Many people wrote it off bc the single player was quite terrible, bc it was basically 1 huge tutorial for the multiplayer. But I can tell you never spent any significant amount of time in MP. It was doing incredibly tense base building w air, foot and land vehicle (and mech!) combat long before Fortnite was ever a thing.

I bet it would have been m...

That's pretty crazy if you think about the 2005 PS3 tech demo that started this all! I'm not sure if they ever intended to remake the game at that time, but the fan outcry for it was so incredible that it eventually became a reality! Now imagine all of the fans who have died waiting for this. :\

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!

Well I mean, when your friends are leaving for greener gaming pastures elsewhere, you have to have somebody to talk to, right?

yea, the "wild chimps" comment was over the line though, not cool.

Finally. My kids are crazy about Minecraft, so I play w them often. The chunk draw distance of the PS4 version being played on a PS5 felt pretty archaic. I was starting to think it would never come.

I love that more obscure Retro games are getting official releases, even if they aren't the greatest games. I've been buying most everything, bc I just love supporting legit game preservation especially if we get some bonuses on top.

With that said, I couldn't see myself paying more that 9.99 for this. 24.99 is just crazy.

@fsfsxii It's not so much wanting COD itself to die as it is wanting this silliness to die. Like CrazyCoconuts said, it takes from the grittiness. Many OG COD players want a straightup Military shooter experience, not silly costume time at Carnival.

So that explains our new Fable lead. I'll refrain from making any commentary for or against, but I'll just leave this image here....

I think if there was ever a time for a competitor to rise up and take away some of Call of Duty's thunder, the time would be now. A military shooter that takes itself seriously, not sold out to Fortnitism. Easier said than done, I know... but the time is ripe.

I can't stand this stuff either.

A pause is a temporary thing to sell through existing stock. A price drop and the announcement of a couple of key exclusives could really get things rolling again.

I think this is a good move, bc a lot of this news is being talked about even on the major gaming sites.

There are instances of certain leakers who have a high, high accuracy rate, such as Pyoro who always calls the Nintendo Directs before they happen, even with titles that have never been announced. Pyoro obviously has sort of connection to Nintendo, whether he's a Nintendo employee or someone just really close to one.

But of course, there's a ...

Man, put Legend of the Mystical Ninja on Nintendo Switch Online, right now! It was one of my favorite SNES platformers, a blast to play on co-op! The N64 one wasn't great, but I'd still take it on NSO.
