good that you never played one before but there are a bunch of games like this on Steam, one of them is called Elite Dangerous.
@NewMonday prove it then. Because each claim had a source with video and written interviews. In fact, I have something for you here:

This is a 16 minutes video of Sean Murray himself speaking about all the stuff that was supposed to be in the game... But we all know how that went, except for the apologists and fanboys in denial.
that was really well played sir. LMAO
and that's the most logical thing to do but when it comes to digital media Sony seem to be way behind the curve. I'm glad I bought this game on Steam and could get a refund... Thanks god for Valve.
This whole NMS thing has been such a shit show... But it's their own fault that this is happening for asking $60 for a barebones indy game and under-delivering on their promises. Between the marketing and the hype and even game outlets hyping it up to the sky things just went way out of control and now nobody wants to take responsibility.
a 6tflops card costs $400, so definitely not. Scorpio will most likely be between $600-700 unless they sell it at a loss.
by current standards a 6 tflops machine is high-end. Maybe not by the end of next year but right now it is.
Not "ultra" but it's definitely high-end by current standards. I think 6tflops is more than enough to pull-off 40k at 30fps.
Here's your prove.

Man this dude is delusional. Just go take a look at its Steam community page. There are hundreds of people complaining about issues with the game, myself included.
Dude why post that bad quality mess? Here is better quality of that hilarious video.

NMS is officially a meme now.
So now that Twitch are the owners of N4G, is this a good or bad thing? Meanwhile Kotaku just got bought by Univision, a Mexican company. Lots of things going on all of a sudden.
I finally finished watching the video and man the frame drops are nasty. By the end when they are in a town the frame-rate's so bad it skips entire frames. This game had to be delayed, I've only seen frame drops this bad when trying to run modern games on a really outdated PC.
And that's nothing. Hello Game's list of lies about NMS is pretty large to the point they even surpass Molyneux levels of BS.

games shouldn't be defended, they should stand on their own. When you have to defend a game it's most likely because it's not very good to begin with.
If only this game had things to do in it like being able to meet with other players ala Journey or being able to fight them ala Dark Souls to steal all their stuff based on factions or something. Maybe being able to construct bases and stuff ala Minecraft but in its current state the world's huge and there's some beautiful things to see but that's all it has going for it. And then they have the balls to ask $60 for this.... :/
I got that feeling too but after 10 years waiting for this game I just have to give it a chance even if the reviews are abysmal. This was the game I bought a PS3 for and soon I'll buy a PS4 for this same game again.
I don't have any faith in Tabata or his team tho. All his games have been pretty meh, so I'm going in with the lowest expectations possible.
"The game looks good, better then FF13"
Indeed. The fact that you can walk around and interact with NPC's and the customization already makes it a way better game than that trash.
a 20 Gigs day one patch? LMAO Now I'm glad they delayed it. With my internet connection that's at least an entire day worth of download.
corrected by who, how and when? Do you realize that each claim has a source?
