You know your reply reminded me of what Kaz said in an interview about him done by Playstation Underground. He said that in this industry you can't be just one step ahead of the competition but 2 or 3 steps it seems when Kaz took over he has implemented that as a barrage of showings of the PS4 keeps keeping MS off their toes

@SMGP Actually this is the best Sony can do if they don't implement some kind of choice they will lose a lot of business from third party software. They had no choice they chose the best option in this situation, MS chose the worst.

Exactly it's the COD influence as soon as that commercial aired on the World Champions game there should be an expected rush of preorders. You won't see a huge separation only after everyone gets settled and sees the true identity of each console
That would be awesome if the exclusives were actual different IP's not Kinect and brought a variety to the Xbox, then we would actually have a 3 horse race the first time since Nintendo, Sony, and Sega hit the scene

These actions MS has taken just shows how much they were thrown off Sony'a PS4 reveal. Evidence is there, how they had to change the first date of the reveal and everyone not on the same page when answering questions, most of the answers say wait for E3, the guy changing the screens with a remote in his pocket when saying Xbox one tv or game or movies, no straight answers. This is a sloppy company and is never prepared and people want this company to be part of the gaming scene. The 36...
@ Veneno I think MS knows they can't compete with Sony's first party studios probably even before entering with the Xbox in general. That is why their main intention was a trojan horse and now they can realize that with better tech. They just needed market share to plant their seed now we will see if that plan is successful
Well if their intention was to equalize the hype the PS4 announcement had, they failed miserably. All they had to to do was show some gameplay footage of at least one of their flagship titles, I don't know Halo maybe. MS not showing any of those could mean one of two things, either the games weren't ready to show because they were rocked by the early PS4 announcment and had to scrounge something up to smooth the ride to E3 or their true intentions of media hub first and game console...
I disagreed because more options on consoles pulls away from the center focus on games which MS seems to be doing right now. It's good to have these option but only as a side option.
A lot of the PS4 you see coming out out has to do with games, whether indie games, or new exclusives being on their system, yeah they do mention social integration with the PS4 but those aren't the big headlines surrounding the system

I agree whenever a console vs PC ever comes up it should be about the gaming software and not the hardware. High specs don't mean a thing without the games to back it up. PC vs PC should deal with spec wars not console vs PC.

There is some variables you are missing though. The reason the Wii did well this gen was because of the casual uptick that now seems to have died down. So the Wii wasn't really competing with the PS3/360 market. Yeah there was effort for 3rd party software to support the Wii but the hardcore were still buying mostly Nintendo games and casuals were into gaming this gen so the Wii had that covered

Sales wise PS3 has been beating the 360 for more than 2 years so I don't know what you are talking about. The 360 along with the Wii have declined in terms of sales worldwide because they are gearing up for the next gen, look at my 1st comment
360 set the standard when it came out because no other system was out for 1 year. PS3 then came out set the standard right away and hasn't toppled yet, so how can the 360 have the standard when it lost it on the PS3's arrival?
